Feeling so incompetent

I just couldn't believe it..
Few days ago, Mom asked me to have Sister's in Law acquire a Cedula (tiny paper that proves you are a citizen and resident of that neighborhood). But I didn't have her ID and her letter of authorization, but i decided to go for it and give it a try.
Unfortunately that wasn't I got depressed of. While I was on my way to district office (few blocks), I didn't noticed that my HOUSE KEY fell and only when i realized then that my pocket has a hole in it
. I tried to find it but seeing those annoying beggars i bet they have taken it already. when my mom found out she called a few friends to get rid of the lock by sawing it. I was able to borrow a saw, but i decided to go at the back of the house, through our neighbors house and broke the screen of door at the back.
I was able to open the door on the front though they have manage to destroy the lock. so stupid that i made our house more vulnerable to crooks.
Mom didn't get mad because it already happened. but i was a bit mad myself because when she went in the office herself she was able to see the engineer who took care of our business permit.by just him she was able to get a Cedula with out a Scratch or hussle
..
I learned my lesson but now i have to watch over the house just to prevent future robbers from coming in, unless they change the locks again. I realized that the house can still be robbed since I myself got inside w/out much hussle

I'm glad that you are security conscious friend, there are lots of break ins now a days especially when Christmas is nearing, there had been a lot in our subdivision these past few days so people were advised to be cautious. Just take it easy, don't put the blame on yourself, things like these happen to everybody including me.

Hello Louie, I have always been security conscious, most specially now that we have a business to run. I think I will be more cautious this coming holidays because of the robberies that had been happening lately. well, i still blame myself but would move on to other things. Have a nice day

Other than learning to be more careful yourself, the big lesson here was your house was already to be robbed. Now you can prevent that from happening, without the loss of your key you wouldn't have been aware of this condition.

Hello savypat, for a long time I know it's a pretty much vulnerable place for robbers. but back then it was more safe because our house is poorly like and people throw trash and pee on the front yard that no one notices that were not that poor. now that we have this commercial business we may have to be more cautiuos and careful now. luckily, we have a dog who makes a lot of noise when ever there's strangers. have a nice day.

Hey, this is a good thing! You found out how easy it is to get into your house and now you can fix those things. While you're fixing them, think about other ways you could break into your house and correct those, too. I thought about that when I first moved into my house and now it's practically impenetrable. Think like a burglar--you've made a good start, even if it was because of a mistake. Now follow through and make your family safe.

We were planning to budget for a steel doors right next to the entrance doors for the front and back of the house. unfortunately, there is also a huge chance that robbers might take the chance on the roof since it's not so tough. but now that am aware, I have decided to make sure that loop holes will be closed and probably be focus when ever i bring the keys. have a nice day.

Hello Catch, yeah the architech was lucky enough to be there and she happened to have gone there after i failed to get a Cedula. but if that incident hasn't happened, my mom would have not gone there and meet up with the engineer to easily provide her with a cedula? all this time it needed some one influential. have a nice day

Don't be so hard on yourself. Your human just like the rest of us & like me you make mistakes from time to time. We live in a world where we are always so busy that we have a lot of things on our mind at once. I wouldn't have noticed a hole in my pocket right away either so this could have very easily happened to me as well. In fact this sounds like something that I would do too, so again don't be so hard on yourself. We learn from our mistakes & as we learn we grow.

Hello RObswife, I am not that much busy but when am in the situation where I know that it's impossible and they are pushing it, that makes me stress out. Lesson learned :D Everyone makes mistake. At least you get brand new locks for your house :P
But I do know what you mean especially when you feel so frustrated since you know you actually caused that problem. This happened to me quite a lot of times already.
Maybe you can install a temporary lock as of the mean time just to make sure that the door will always be closed?

Hello Keihimekawa,The lock that was replaced isn't really new, it's one of our old locks from our gate before it was removed. Well, it's a temporary lock but this time i make to appoint that I'd never go outside more often knowing that by breaking to our house makes me fearful that others can break in as well.
