So , CDC stands for "Centers for Disease control and Prevention".
This organisation.
"for over 60 years , CDC has been dedicated for protecting health and promoting quality of life through the prevention and control of disease , injury and disability"
(I took it from www.cdc.gov/about/)
I find this website is usefull and friendly for individuals , providing safety at work places , safety against violence , enviromental health , travelers health and many more.
I read an article about violence prevention (that is a very important issue for me as I want to be a good parent in the future) from www.cdc.gov/ViolencePrevention/POP.html : it has some statistic facts about violence - did you know that more than 53,000 people die from violence every year ?!!
This article offers a free online course that is called "Principles Of Prevention".
The course is available at www.vetoviolence.org/pop/prevention-intro.html
It says violence is preventable (that is a very good news)
That course gives good information about violence and I must admit I haven't yet watched all the material. and it is just a small piece of that whole website and organisation.
Did you read any information from that website you want to share ? pleas tell me about it.

Violence is when someone hits someone else , it is brutality , aggressiveness...
Violence prevention is to do everything so violence won't happen.
If you teach your kids not to attack and not to hit and take care of each other , then this is violence prevention...
I think you better read the article and you will understand what i'm talking about.
