Though we are afraid of our health yet we neglect our health. Some times we are negligent when we handle a blade or a knife. When we are hurt by blade, needle or a knife, we are not that careful. When we get a wound we need to clean it with clean and cool water and apply mild soap. When we use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol we my get more burning sensation. Instead if we use clean and cool water it is so much better. It is always safe to use gloves and the medical instruments to clean the wounds. The persons affected by diabetes must be very careful to get their wounds healed. After cleaning the wounds they can medicate it by spraying antibiotic powder or the cream. We should always cover the wounds with the sterile bandage. It is vey hygienic to clean the wounds daily and change the bandage daily. We must daily inspect the wounds and never allow them get septic. Some times, while the wounds are at the phase of getting healed we may experience itching. We should avoid scratching the wounds with the nail. Sometimes we love to grow the nails. Many times we scratch our body with nails and scratch our body with nails to the extent of getting hurt. Eventually it may lead to get infection. If we grow the nails, we should be attentive.

Well, I think that wounds need to be treated because some can be likely to get infections, and for those you certainly need to give them the right kind of treatment. As for pain medication, I don't always recommend it because some can be addictive.
