To cry might seem like someone who is depressed should do but that's not true. Days passes by and we hold some tension within us and that must come out, we cannot snapp on some innocent person, like our kids, family, friends...we must take it out in tears and it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing. Everytime after the crying, a real cry, those that last a while you'll always feel relief, you'll feel better and the hormones that causes pleasure begin to be produced right after, so to be feeling good and happy, crying can help.

yes it is a form of release, nature has put everything in place for a reason and you know I read that tears have an amazing germ killing affect so maybe when we hurt our-selves in some ways tears can be used as an anticeptic, maybe....

A beautiful way to see it. There was a time in life I cursed tears, now I don't even curse the causes, they are there for us to grow and learn but it can hurt so tears are a blessing. God knows everything indeed

Crying can relax you from what you have and this is the reason why we unknowingly cry and shed our tears. See how brilliantly god plans and put everything. Actually we are the one of the best buildings or creatures made by god.

Yes! It is really relaxing, better than relaxing tea for example. The effects are instant. I don't think men should not cry, it's really healthy.

I agree crying is another way of releasing of hidden emotion and pressure. We tend to cry when we feel so much pain inside and at the same time when we were very happy. In some expressing of emotion that they hide for a long time. We felt good after we cry and it was a relief when we do that. I think we should not allow ourselve to hide what's inside of us, we should let the feelings out if is this in form of crying or laughing still its good to let it out.

hello, I agree. Crying is a big help in those people who are suffering to something. It is a big relief when you felt that all people that surround you are true and helping you. I felt this every time that I cried. So, I can really relate myself in this kind of situation especially if i cant no longer handle the situation. In this action I know that I am just taking out the bad aura of negative things.

A real relief indeed. Sometimes we can even deal better with it when we are not overwhelmed anymore.

Thats true.Crying releases pressure. That is the reason why men are prone to having a fight with other men.Men don't usually cry so when something upsetting comes they couldn't control the emotion anymore and start to fight because all other emotions from the past problems have been stuck inside them.Tire reason why most men get heart attack is because they don't know how to release their bad feelings through crying.:)

Well reminded! Indeed most of men when they go at it, they go AT IT, it's like there's no break. For example in the same soccer game men fight more than women, and there is female soccer nowadays and although there are women fighting there, in male soccer, wow! It happens once in each three games at least

Crying like laughing is necessary to one's sanity. Crying helps us to release tensions that have been building up inside of us. Just watch a child, do you see them cry, laugh, scream, run and shout? Those are all emotions that we have and we have them for a reason. Tears of happiness, tears of joy, tears of sadness, they must all be expressed. I know I always feel better after I have had a good cry. It helps to get rid of any anxiety and gives me the strength to go on.

Yes, I think you are right. People have been known to say that they feel much better after a good cry. A lot of emotional tension can be released in that way.

Crying can release one's pressure. Those who don't cry and just hold their emotions will likely to be ill. I think it is the reason that women are tend to have a longer life than men, ( women cry more than men) Another benefit of crying is that tears can wipe dirty things of our eyes. And purify our eyes. Therefore, once in a while to have a cry is a good thing to our health.

Intersting, it is true that they say women live longer, maybe crying and even expressing our feelings better in a daily basis is better for humans. So we should stop thinking guys shouldn't cry, I don't think it's weakness, I find they have the right to cry as well. A sensitive guy is even hot

It may be a relief, but it always gives me a terrible headache so I try to avoid it at all costs. A few tears are ok but outright crying is very painful.

Oh I know what you are talking about I had few times when it was too long. When we cry our face, head all becomes so hot, maybe that's it. In that case sharing with someone you trust could have the same effects as crying, you put it out there, so it helps too

Hi katie: Thanks for sharing with us this information. I agree with this article and people can feel relieved after they cry. However, as many human activities they have a limit and if we become cry babies that would have a negative impact in our social relationships. Also being very sensitive is a bad thing. ALVARO

Oh yes, overly sensitive means the person will hurt all the time and people around won't even have fault for this, but rarely, from time to time it's healthy

I know that I cry when I get angry. I normally feel better after I release all those emotions that made me get angry in the first place. Crying alone for me is fine. I hate when I do one of those really emotional cries that make no sense...especailly to a man...where they think that they have broken you.

Tell me about it! I really want to cry when I'm too angry. Maybe when the feelings are too much we need to release it in tears because most people cry of anger, happiness, solitude, sadness...

There are different reasons why a person cries. It could be because of happiness or sorrow. Crying is a way for us to express how we feel for a certain situation. I cry when I feel so hurt. I need to express it out. Also, I cry when I am happy.

Yes! I feel good after crying either for happiness or sadness. It's really something natural, not a bad thing. Of course that when we are crying and it's for being angry or sad it feels like it's terrible, but when it goes away, relief!

Crying is one a wonderful thing that God has given to us. We should be thankful to Him. For me, crying is symbolical and meaningful for there are many reasons why a person cries. Good morning my lady!

That is true, We normally hold back a lot of emotions to ourselves. Unless we let it out by crying, we wouldn't feel much better and lighter. After a long cry and thinking about happy thoughts it seems as though something inside us has been renewed.

A study even said men live less then women because they hold, so cry, cry and cry is the solution. I don't think it's bad for a man cry, it's even cute, shows he has feelings

Yes, that's right. Crying definitely releases our pain, our hurts, and every negative feeling we feel. Whenever I cry on a bad day or a bad situation, I feel like it releases all my worries, my hurts, and pain and I feel better every after crying. Of course, the problem won't go away when you cry, but it will surely make us ll feel better than before.

Yes I know the benefit of crying our eyes is cleared from dust haha.... But crying is good you know women are more cried than man and man suffer from heart attack because they never cried and store all tension in heart but women talked with any one every problem and cried so women less suffered from heart attack.

That's true, I hear holding things inside can be bad for the soul, for the heart. I think it's beautiful of a man to know and do not worry about crying, it's just normal, men are human being as well and we all have feelings. Cheers!

my sister got an a disease in her eyes, i forgot what its called but the doctor found out that she did not cry for 5 years! so now, even if she has nothing to cry about, she watched drama movies in order to cry in order to clear the eyes. thats one of the benefits of crying.

I don't use to cry often or easily. On the other hand, when something bad happens and I feel depressed, I cry for almost anything. But it really helps, most of the times. On the other hand, I can't stand people who cry all the time, or who force themselves to cry just to show how hurt they are. I truely admire strong people, who can stop their tears.

Yes I do agree with you... I sometimes cry when I am alone... this relieves some burden in my chest... it makes me breath better... I don't know exactly if that is scientifically proven but as for me it really works... Crying really gives me a great relief.
