I will not be able to get my first salary tomorrow because of this bank's silly requirements. They didn't inform me that they need another set of valid ID, which I have, if they do not accept Voter's ID. All this time, I was expecting that I will be able to get my salary tomorrow. Never will I bank with this crappy bank

I have my personal savings with them but I don't think they're too strict on that. I even transferred a check from my company to my personal account. And it's no hassle. I think they are just trying to make sure whether they are giving it to the right person or better yet give them a call first and ask which IDs they'd accept.

Good for you friend. But what annoys me is that they will charge me additional 100php for over the counter transactions that could've easily been avoided if they inform me. Maybe it's just my day. I hope it won't happen to you.

Is it your first salary? Or your bank is different and you just want to get it fro BDO. Coz actually all the banks have a charge when you want to claim money from other banks.

I think , BDO doesn't allow over the counter withdrawal of other bank's. What they allow are inter-branch deposit , meaning you deposit money to an account of BDO, in a different place. They really have a charge for that, and so with other bank. They only allow over the counter withdrawal if you already have an account with them and your ATM cannot function, because of a restriction.

On the first place, when you open an account the new accounts clerk would ask for two valid UDs. Then and there, you will know if you haven't completed the two requirement, so you could have given another valid ID. I just wonder, why you were able to open an account if your valid IDs are not complete. Maybe you should ask the one who assisted in the opening of your account.

Banco de Oro is so strict when it comes to withdrawal transaction, but I point of not accepting voters Id, it's so valid next to passport.. we'll i guess you just have to give them more ID's.. that really s*cks!

Yeah it is. Another thing, since I will just organize an over the counter withdrawal, they were already informed by the mother branch (where our payroll was initially opened) that I will be coming in for that transaction. So, since this is the 15th and a lot of people are getting their salary on this day, there was a long queue on the branch where I will withdraw. This teller was so slow that it took almost an hour before I reach the counter. When it's finally my turn, I was simply informed that inter branch transactions are not allowed. I said that, I was informed by the mother branch that it was OK. Then, she said that there was no money on my account yet. That just sucks BDO.

I have had similar issues with them. customer service with the bank (bdo) is not very good too. if it was not the bank our company was using too, we won't also be banking with them.. they let their lines grow as long as the whole edsa and you would see the managers not even concerned about the people standing in line there... where there are other tellers who could have opened their section and assisted others.

I just know how you feel. I had the same situation before. It is really frustrating when you are expecting for something to run smoothly and then it goes the other way around. I like Banco De Oro though, I get my salary through their cash card. I had no problems getting my cash card cause it was fast. I guess in this kind of situation, you just have to remember that if you don't want to be frustrated about something you should make sure you were clear about somethings to begin with. That way you don't get disappointed in the future. Well, of course there are always going to be frustrations and disappointments in our life, so all we have to do is just face it and deal with it and learn from it. Easy to say though but .... :)

Maybe just on the branch that you are in. I know that some branches are not that strict with the requirements. But still BDO is one of the top banks in our country. However, I just don't like their interest rates in their deposits and sometimes, their service is crappy too. I do have an experience with them wherein I wasn't able to transact because the information told to me by a teller is wrong. I lost some opportunity money if that transaction pushed through. Anyways, BDO brings convenience because it is always in SM malls which is a good strategy. I am keeping my account with them because I like their UITF earnings. That's all there is. I advise you that you just comply with their requirements so that no other conflict will happen in the future.
