American Greed is on CNBC. You need cable or satellite to get it but you might be able to get it on your computer. It is about masterminds who rip off people like Bernie Madoff. Many times, these crooks are intelligent professionals, once respected in their field. There are so many out there and the stories about them are so well done. And they are so shocking and incredible. What people will not do for a buck! The one that I saw the other night takes the cake. It was about a dentist who lost his license because he was a demerol addict. I guess that he screwed up one time too many. How would you like to have your teeth worked on by a demerol addict? So this dentist found a new career. He began to steal body parts of dead people. He contracted with funeral homes to take the bones and tissues of the dead without the family being notified. If the deceased was to be buried, he put plumber's pipe back in the body. If the deceased was to be cremated, then he did not need to worry about stuffing the body. The funeral homes were illegally allowing him the body. The families were never informed. He had people under him who were called cutters. He then sold the bones, tissues and other organs to those who buy these products legitimately for re-sale. He did not care if the tissues and organs were damaged or diseased. Some patients became ill after receiving harvested organs and tissues from this dentist's company. The dentist and his associates are all in jail, right where they belong. This is all true. This is such a great show. American Greed. Just the title says it all. I can not recommend this show enough. And it is well done also.
