I have always been an emotional thinker. I think more with my heart most of the time than I do with my head! Lol. It has led me to many heartaches but I am who I am and that part of me I honestly like and dont want to change... What about you? Are you a logical thinker or an emotional thinker? Do you like that part of you or would you rather change it?

I have a big heart, but when it comes to making life decisions I think I'm more of a logical thinker I think that's partly because my life tends to be a bit rocky sometimes and if I don't stay ahead of things and think more logically my life will become more rocky haha That does not mean I don't slip up, and allow my heart to take over occasionally I'm human, but I don't allow that to happen too much because I've seen first hand how thinking with ones heart can cause.

I care very deeply about the plight of others, but I realize that some people are not as compassionate about my life or feelings, and they have in the past occasionally stomp on my kindness and take advantage of me, so I've become more logical and less of a heart based thinker to protect myself from making irrational and hazardous decisions Yes I do still care greatly about others, but I must also look out for myself because if I don't no one else will I learned that the hard way through life and viewing close friends and family also through age So for me thinking with my heart can be hazardous to my heart, health, and lively hood lol.

Oh I wasnt saying logical thinkers dont care about people, they just think more with their brain rather than their heart. Like you have been in the past I am hurt a lot and people will walk all over me every time. But I feel guilty if I do say no or if I am too harsh with someone... Maybe one day I will stop feeling bad and learn to stand up for myself. Knowing me I doubt it. =(

Surprisingly even though my life is hard most of the time I am still more emotional than anything. Thats how I get hurt more often than not. But Im happy with being emotional because I have compassion for people and Im very sensitive. =)

I am definitely a logical thinker, no doubt about it. The times that I did think with my heart, well, turned out to be bad for me. Thats why I am in the situation that I am in these days. I guess I gave the benefit of the doubt when I should have just thought logically and made the changes that were needed. But, we all live and learn. I am also one that does not forgive or forget.

Thats how you will continue to be hurt. Keep your guard up enough to protect yourself.

I understand when your hurt a lot you start to use more of your head than your heart. You would think I would learn by now but I havent. I still forgive very easily and give people chance after chance! Stupid me I suppose...

The genie has left the bottle. I am emotional across the board. At work , I'm fine, no major issues. So I'm lucky. But Knowing me, I wouldn't last long in a corporate setting. Either I would have come to work and jumped out the window Or pushed the boss out thew window or both!

I think a balance is a great way of doing things! I can think logically if its something with business but anything personal I think emotionally.

I think I probably think with my heart too most of the time. I try to be logical or practical, but that doesn't always work. I like that part of me as well, but I am usually the one who gets hurt when leading with the heart.

I understand that it does hurt more thinking with your heart. But it also makes us caring and more sensitive to others. =)

I am half and half usually but as I get older the emotional side of me seems to be taking the driving-seat! As a Medium, I need a strong emotional side otherwise I cannot connect well with The Spiritual Realms. I don't think my logical mind wouldn't so happily connect. It's first thought would be: 'This is crazy!'
1 Jan 12
Sorry! My logical mind should have guided my hand to write: 'I don't think my logical mind would so happily connect'!

Im sorry. I dont know how but I skipped right over your response! Im not being funny but what exactly does a Medium mean? Like a psychic? Or is it something different? Anyway, I am definitely an emotional person too.

being an women you always have been a emotional thinker.heart rules over heart sometimes, very much in emotional conditions. logic is something in which heart and head both are mutually involved but in emotions its all heart which is guiding

So you think all men are logical thinkers and all women are emotional thinkers? From this discussion lots of women said the opposite of what I said...

Hi... I think both ways... I always know the logical answer to any issue... But most of the times, I listen to my heart, even though I know the logical answer to it... Yes, many times I too have paid dearly for such type of thinking... I can say that I am an emotional thinker too... And I admit that I know it does a lot of harm...

I do the same thing. I know what the logical thing is to do but most of the time I listen to my heart instead. Yes it does cause a lot of pain thats for sure!

I am a logical thinker, and I think that whatever way you think, you will think it is the better way - at least for yourself.

Well, I think both ways in different situations. I don't usually think my way is better, I am always putting myself down with things but I like wearing my heart on my sleeve per say because it makes me caring and compassionate for others. Thats the only reason I like being more of an emotional thinker. =)

Probably more an emotional one! I wish I wasn't. And I am a giver so when someone wants something I just think of making them happy....not what it's really going to cost me! Some things I do thing more logical....like making a big purchase....so emotional thinking it more geared to people.

Im the same way. I think with my heart most of the time and I am also a giver. I worry about everyone elses problems and I try helping whenever I can even if it hurts me. =(

Most usually I am an emotional thinker. I have access to logical thinking but I don't visit there very often anymore. I have been diagnosed with severe depression with panic attack. None of that gives me access to logical thinking. I have moments of clarity that to me is logical thought.

I have access there too but I dont use it very often. Lol. I am a much more emotional thinker than anything else! My heart takes over a lot. Hope you have a Happy New Year!

This is actually a constant struggle within me. I'm a cancer, so I am inately emotional. Most of the times I let my emotions lead the way, and do the thinking for me. But, I have an engineering background. All my jobs, and all of my career require me to think logically. Thus the struggle!

For me it was easy at work to think logically but if it was anything personally I thought with my heart. Which can lead to lots of heartache. =(

I think I'm somewhat like you. When deciding about something and I feel like someone would feel bad about one of the decisions then I take the other decision right away. I kind of like it, because in most matters I'm a very logical thinker. So I think it kind of balances me. Although I find myself more emotional than most guys I know. At times I feel like it's kind of a disadvantage because I choose the thing someone else would feel good about than what I would feel good about. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!

I understand I am that way too. I worry about other people more than my own feelings. Theres nothing wrong with a man being emotional, I wish my husband was more emotional...

I think we are both and can sway to one or the other. Both are useful so why try to suppress it. Maybe hurt is the reason we tend to think about it. Some people tell others to grow a thick skin but maybe there is a reason for our pain?
• Valdosta, Georgia

I agree with you. We all have both in us and it depends on the situation as to which one we use...
1 Jan 12
I prefer to be a logical thinker than the other one but sometimes because we are all weak I also became an emotional thinker. We need to balance both thinking ability. If we handle ourselves more on emotional way we tend to see the logical reasons of each decisions we make leading us to more painful situations that can be fully avoided if right from the start we apply our logical thinking. Our hearts and emotions are often misleading so think logically.

I think we have both in us and depending on the situation is the one we use. I think certain times call for logical thinking and certain times call for emotional thinking. Its up to the individual as to what we choose to use...

I am always an emotional thinker and that landed me in many upsets in life. Thanks to my unmatched patience which helped me in combating failures and heartaches from reducing me into a total wreck. I would have been an inmate in a mental asylum if I constantly become a slave to my emotions but maturity and patience always saved my day.

I understand, I have been hurt more times than I can count. But I do feel like it makes us more compassionate and caring. Its always good to have a balance. =)

I am probably more of an emotional thinker, but I do try to think logically as well. It can be difficult sometimes, but I do the best that I can. i do manage to do it. It may not be all the time, but it still happens.

I am quite the other way around. I always think logically no matter what circumstances I was in. Sometimes, I have strong emotion to have intimate relationship with my girlfriend. But my logical thinking would immediately says no to that idea. I will give the pros and cons of everything a really serious thought. In playing online games, there are some special and attractive virtual items to be purchased, however, I would not buy them as I know that I don't really need them, even if I want them, I would earn a lot of in-game money and trade for those items.

Some people are more logical thinkers and thats okay too. =) Everyones different. Its good to weigh pros and cons. It helps to make better decisions when we do that!
