A New Calender.....A Strange New Calender!

Today, when I got the mail, there was a calender in the box, courtesy of the Department of Public Works for Baltimore city. I opened it randomly, and started laughing. There was a huge photo of all sorts of garbage bags heaped around trashcans in a back yard, surrounded by rats. It was a reminder not to leave garbage sitting out like that because it would invite rats to the property. Now, is this a picture I want hanging in my kitchen? Don't think so! Would you put it up? The other months' photos are just as ...how shall I put it....interesting?

I usually buy the 365 kittens calender once they go on sale in February! I get mine through amazon.

Hubby took it to work to use there. I told him he could keep the trash and rats hehehe...

oh poor timetravel, I would not hang that anywhere not even in the one room you normally are alone with yourself and it sometimes is the only silent place in the house of apartment. LOL not even good enough for that.

You are correct, RitterSport! Even if I lived alone - in a convent - I wouldn't hang it! I let my husband take it to work. Where he works is the only place appropriate for it.

I would put it up. Lol I don't think I would want to put it up in my kitchen though but maybe in the garage or for myself to look only like in my room. Although it wouldn't hurt to put it in the kitchen for hints to those who leave garbage lying around...lol. I wonder if I will get the calender for myself...

If I get an extra I'll gladly send you one...we don't have a garage - but we do have a nice basement!

Eh, it made you laugh, so it can't be that bad? Maybe it will make other people laugh when they visit. I'm laughing just thinking about having that calendar hanging on my wall. I'd love to see the reaction of any visitors I might have. It would surely be a conversation piece.

I don't think it would be appropriate to hung it in the kitchen or even inside the house. It will be an eyesore for those who might see it. Better hang it in the garage. Yeah your right, the calendars purpose is to remind the public of the dangers of unkept garbage. And this may be the only means they know to get the attention of the public.

Perhaps an insert would have been more appropriate? lol...

I just hope the photos are taken artistically. I would definitely put it up, perhaps I would place it somewhere wherein other people could see it and be reminded to be responsible and do things the proper way. Definitely not in the kitchen since it will be such an eyesore and I might even lose my appetite.

Well, since I live with my family in a house we don't need the reminder - but perhaps I could place it strategically outdoors somewhere by the stores that leave their garbage out in the open constantly!

I probably will do so this calendar idea is weird but interesting.
Yet it is very nice that you asked.
so you still need to feel flattered.
