i am planning to buy multi vitamins for i am always feeling stressed, my body is weak, i don't do body exercise, my hair is falling and others are turning into gray and then white. i feel weak these few several months. i am wondering what multi vitamins to buy or what doctor to approach for me to know the dosage of vitamins i need to take. i discovered that it is not good taking multivitamins without knowing the dosage you need and the vitamins and minerals you need. ? i usually also don't eat healthy diet. what i usually eat from breakfast to dinner is rice and fish. i seldom eat vegetables, fruits, and meat. i also seldom drink milk and juice. that is why i am thinking that i really need to take food supplement or vitamin supplement for my health. how about you? what do you think and what can you suggest?

I took multivitamins before but later on I didn't like its effect coz it has put me on a lot of weight. I had trimmed down a little now but the stomach I had gained is hard to loose now. In your case, I do think that you will need to consult a doctor to prescribe you the right supplement/multivitamins.

I am underweight before and that is why I took the vitamins for two months. I love the effect it gave me... I easily fall to sleep which before hard for me to do, and I eat so well. But then I had to stop it coz a lot has been saying I am becoming fatter. So I did stopped, now it seems hard for me to loose the extra stomach I had

I think it is better to go to a docotr, because he/she can give you accurate information. Which vitamins you need to take and which not. You can also wait for other ideas from other mylotters, but my advice is to go to see a doctor and ask for medical advise :)

I take cod liver oil supplements because I do a lot of working out at the gym and there is a lot of wear and tear on the joints. Multivitamins are good, not sure if you can get Centruum where you are, but you can take one tablet a day which contains all the vitamins from A to Z. It might be worth going to see your doctor first to see if there isn't a more serious health issues that could be causing you to feel stressed, then ask him/her for recommendations regarding what vitamins you should be taking, there are also tests you can take which can tell what vitamin you are lacking. For example my doctor prescribed me with calcium tablets as my calcium levels are very low. Through blood tests you can find out a lot. I hope you find something that works or find out why you are feeling this way.

Yep! I like Centrum too. But for some specialty needs, I do take the specific vitamins that I require. Like when I have colds and flu I take in vitamin C. When I have numbing problems, I take in Vitamin B complex. And when I am stressed I go over some iron supplements. But on a normal day, I take in Centrum. I do feel that it can be a nice boost for my health.

No vitamin can help you to get rid of all the problems you have mentioned. First of all consult with a doctor and follow the instructions advised by him. May I ask you how old you are? I think it is wise to have a postprandial blood sugar estimation imediately.

Well leon i think you should try to get a hold of a family doctor or a resident doctor in some hospitals at the ER they have resident's there that will do basic test or would even refer you to a more specialized doctor to give you advice and for further test, fatigue and changes in your hair can result to numerous health conditions or could just be lacking some nutrients, but to be sure try to talk to a regular doctor first and see what needs to be done aight...

Well, as far as I know, the big advantage of taking vitamin supplements is that it causes not much of a harm even when taking in it in moderately big doses. I believe that vitamins and mineral supplements are non toxic and can be used to supply the body of its daily needs. But of course, taking severely high doses of vitamins and minerals which is quite logically wrong will lead to overdose problems. Just stick with having supplements once a day, and if you feel that it is not enough, move over to twice a day. I think twice a day can be a good standard if you really need all the supplements that you can get. Different kinds of vitamins have different functions. If you are having problem with your teeth or is feeling pale always, try using vitamin c. Move over to vitamin b complex to help your nerves if you feel numb often. Vitamin E is good for nourishing your skin. Zinc supplements are for boosting your immune system. Get some iron supplement if you are always feeling stressed. But still, a multivitamin is in my opinion, the best way to go to cover up all your daily needs. But I advise you to live healthy rather than relying to vitamin supplements alone for your health. Proper nutrition and exercises are the best way to go.
