Subscriber in a blog

Yesterday I subscribes on my friend's blog, I can't find her mails annoying because I also learn and enjoy reading her blog, but one thing came into my mind that I notice I haven't visited her blog for that reason, because I can read her whole blog post directly onto my mail.
So I ask an opinion of fellow bloggers if that is okay on her part meaning if it does benefited it on her blog and bring traffic even though the reader shouldn't go into their site and can finish reading it on the mail.
So I need again some experts blogger here especially the one that knows SEO, is it already a traffic or not?

It's about RSS (really simple syndication) and your question is, how rss is useful for blogger---
the answer is simple...
Of course, as the bloggers have email of niche audiences, they can promote products which are relevant to its audiences to generate some cash.
It's not about huge traffic but targeted traffic is more important
