I heard that thunderbird has automatic delete email from server once I already received it from my thunderbird email. But how? No one want to teach me about this. I like to know desperately. So that I will not open my email thru server just to delete the messages that I already received in my thunderbird.

Leaving messages on a POP or IMAP server is ON by default. To set Thunderbird to delete messages from the server once you have downloaded them, go to Tools - Account Settings - Server Settings and UNCHECK "Leave messages on server".
There are quite a few tutorials on using Thunderbird. I believe that this: http://en.flossmanuals.net/Thunderbird/ is the most up-to-date one but it may not cover some of the very new features (those released less than 6 - 8 weeks previously).

Even if "Leave messages on server" is on, Thunderbird will normally sync messages so that, if you delete a message in Thunderbird, the next time you connect to the server it will delete the message on the server too (unless you specifically tell it not to in the Settings menu).

I have Thunderbird and I have used it but, because I occasionally use different PCs, I find that web mail suits me better.

By default, Thunderbird should be syncing your emails in both the server and in the program.
Check the settings by going to Tools -- Account Settings -- Sync and Storage -- Disk Space
There should be a dot next to "Sync all messages locally regardless of age"

Yeah, I've been using it for about a year now. I use GMX email and their website always seemed to have a lot of issues with the webmail. I had seen online that people who were having trouble logging into GMX were able to get in using Thunderbird, so that's when I gave it a try. I've been pretty happy with it.

What is thunderbird? Is it any email software like outlook express?
If it's a software, definitely there would be a setting NOT to delete mails on servers. Outlook Express has this feature. (We can set the messages not to be deleted, after downloading to our computer. The default setting is ON.)
Also we should set the same setting on our email provider. My Gmail has it. On the 'POP & forwarding' page, I have to set 'Do not delete after forwarding'.

If you are using thunderbird in Linux then take edit-accounts settings, or if you are using thunderbird in windows then go to tools-account settings, in account settings option there will be a tick mark on the option 'leave messages on the server', uncheck the option then what ever email is downloaded from now on in thunderbird it will automatically be deleted.
This is a 5 months old discussion, probably you must have found the solution to this problem, if not try this, it will work ...
