A serial killer with a split personality. “A psychological thriller about a man( Kevin Costner) who is sometimes controlled by his murder-and-mayhem-loving alter ego.” This was an interesting look at the life of an infamous serial killer known as the thumbprint killer. 
It was very exciting from start to finish and you never know what will happen next. This movie is worth the watch, I love the prayer which was said in the beginning and end of the movie..God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time and enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardships as the pathway to peace. Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is and not as I would have it, trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will, that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.

When I watch this DVD many years ago I could not beleive Kevin Cosner did this type of movie so out of character for him... very creepy and beleiveable too. It was really bloody I thought. He usually plays westerns and FBI or that sorta movie Character etc... the plot was really good and you did not know how it was going to end.

Yeah, Costner is really a versatile actor. He can portray any role perfectly. I guess this is the only movie, where he played as a killer. The movie is worth the time.

I hadn't thought of this movie for ages but now you've got me wanting to watch it again! It really is a good, "edge of your seat" thriller, isn't it, and a very different type of role from what we're used to do Kevin Costner in? As I write this I'm trying to remember all the twists and turns but it's kind of fuzzy, which means it's time to watch it again! I thought Danielle Panabaker was terrific as the daughter.

So you have seen this movie long time ago. Yes, it's really worth watching again and again, because Costner rarely do movies like this and it's worth the time. A big difference from the usual roles he usually portrays.Thanks for the comment my friend.

I've seen this movie three years ago and i was really impressed. I like this kind of movie because it makes me think. This is a kind of movie where the viewer sides with the villain.
I think everybody has a killer mind, but to put them into action needs a lot of courage, or a psychotic mind.

Yes, it's an old movie of Costner. Maybe he accepts the role for a change and I thought he had done it excellently.In his mind he wants to stop this habit of his, he even attended meetings to cope with his killing addiction. He want to change but was overpowered by his other self.Thanks for your time my friend.

yeah..ive seen this.rather ok, Kevin costner movie..havent seen him in a good movie for long time..last good one i remember was Dragonfly..

Yeah, I've heard of Dragonfly movie too and read good reviews too. Mr Brooks is more recent than Dragonfly, a drama film while Mr. Brooks is a thriller film, and they are both viewer's choice. Thanks for your time my friend.
