i will not say that i am a great reader or a book worm sort of person but yes when it comes to reading of my interest i wont say a "no" .
for me "books" have proved to be my "best friends" of all time, no matter what the hell i am going through, how well i am, how much disturbed i am, how much depressed i am.. books have always proved to be "loyal friend" for me.
i just love them because they "never say ask from you anything but they say a lot of things to you, they will not rub your tears but yes they can make you happy, they will not ask for commitments from you yet they are always committed to you, they never fight with you nor they are "jealous" of you, they will demand nothing from you yet they will always be available for you no matter what happens.they do not solve your problem but yes can give u idea or clues to it, they wont insult you nor they are hypocrites -they are what they are !
so "books" have proved to be my best friends and they will always be.

Yes I think books can be best friends. I have one that I've been reading regularly, many times over, since it was first published in 1973. I have a very intimate relationship with this book since it tells the story of where a lot of my emotions come from, although the situation contained within is totally different to my own. This book has seen me through the good times, through the bad times and has always BEEN there. It, like music, takes over where people leave off.

the best part of reading a book is that when some point of time you are unsure of the some feelings or emotions of yours, you can relate them easily when you have the same story or the emotion that the book is telling you.
many a times i have tried to think that may be its stupid of me to think like that regarding some matters of my life but i was reading a story book where the girl character was going through the same phase as mine i at last i have learnt many things and ways of making it work in my life

Hi sayo! Yes, I could also consider books to be one of my best friends! Especially if I could relate to the story so much, I feel like I could bond with the main characters in the book!
When I was in high school, I used to read Sweet Valley Series so I was very familiar with the characters, I felt like I also belonged to their society.
I feel like I am a member of the Unicorn group! Haha, I don't know if you know that series but if you do, you are also familiar with the Unicorn group then! But in reality, I am more like Elizabeth Wakefield rather than Jessica Wakefield

for me books cannot be a best friends because if you ask others who is your best friend they will name other person and they will not say my best friend is book or other things.. even me i am addict using my laptop all most every day and almost all my time i gave it to my laptop but i cant say that my laptop is my best friend because its only a things no life at all.

well not for all but yes for some it can work as the forever friends.
its not about your addiction to something that make you its or the person's best friend i believe.
its all the bond and the special relation that you share.
so books do are non-living things but they can speak as loud as any human and can even make you learn many things and get ideas that actually make you feel better at the end of the day.
everyone have their own perception regarding liking and dis-liking.
