I Missed the Madonna Half-Time Show!

First year in forever that I've missed the Super Bowl. It was my mom and dad's 54th wedding anniversary and I decided to spend time with them at their big shing ding. Anyhow, I heard Madonna was the half-time entertainment. My friends say it wasn't pleasant and that maybe it's time to reinvent herself again. I know we can stay young at heart for as long as life itself but at what point do we stop shaking our groove thing, if you know what I mean? Did you see the show? Thoughts?

Congrats to your parents on their anniversary. I think Madonna did a good job. She can still move and sing well. I saw most of the half time show. I wonder how much she spent to have that face and body looking like a 35 yr. old! She looked good and no way looks 53 yrs. old, in my opinion. There's still hope for Madonna. Look at Tina Turner. She's from my hometown, is around 65 or 66 yrs. old and can move like a young teen and still has a voice that's out of this world.

Madonna does have a good voice but I've never been a huge fan.

Thanks Carolbee for happy anniversary congrats. Yeah I wonder what it takes and costs to keep that shape. It all comes with a price. As far as voices ... that's a talent that goes a long way, though I always thoughts her voice was just average, strong but average.

If it still shakes, I guess it's okay. But when it sags ... that's a whole other story.

My opinion is that Madonna rocked the house with a fabulous half time show! She was fully dressed and had a lot going on in the show, but it was greatly timed and choreographed and just a family friendly show for the most part. I think she was certainly a good choice and done a nice show. Also, thumbs up for the National Anthem performance of Kelly Clarkson- she nailed it!!!!

I missed Kelly Clarkson too. No doubt she did a good job. She always does. And yes, I heard Madonna was fully dressed ... I believe it was asked of her to do so.

I missed it as well! I was also sad that I missed Kelly Clarkson. Everyone was talking about how Madonna was lip syncing, but they still said she rocked it and looked wonderful. I bet you could find it online, I really need to go look for it too since it's something I'd like to see. I heard Kelly Clarkson looked really good too. Some people didn't like Madonna's performance, but I think it's great that she's still performing as time goes on. You're never too old to show your talent to the world. Plus the fact that she's not even that old, just old in Hollywood years...Which is like, 25 LOL.

I'm probably one who didn't mind missing her performance. I would have liked to hear Kelly Clarkson though. And you're right, 53 (that's how old I am) is not old at all, but Hollywood is just harsh on women. Ah, that's life.

Congrats first off to your parents, wow they have lived a long life together, for 54 years! God bless them! Second, you didn't miss much really. She had some good moments but some people claimed she was lip syncing and her moves weren't as good as before. I realize she is 50+ now but still, oh well. I guess you can always get a glimpse of her performance on you tube, if you wish. I watched Madonna for like a minute then wasn't interested, sorry. She is still a good singer though.

Thanks NailTech. Yep, my parents have spent a wonderful lifetime together. They even weathered WWII, as children. Anyhow, I'm with you. I never was a Madonna fan. Just thought she was an interesting and off the wall choice for a Super Bowl half-time show. There are so many more talented artists who have a lot to do with the NFL, charities and whatnot. Just my two cents worth.

First of all, congratulations to your parents on their 54th wedding anniversary. Now, onto the super bowl half-time show. I didn't watch all of it but just some bits nd pieces. But, from waht I saw I thought that Madonna did a very nice job. She looked really good and sand and danced well too. She put up a nice show in my opinion

Thanks, on behalf of my parents, MariaB. Mom and Dad will probably go for another 50 years together if that was possible. As far as Madonna goes, I guess it's 50, 50. Some people liked her, others not so much.

I only saw a bit of it on YouTube. But it seems there are lots of negative opinions about her performance. I'm a fan of Madonna especially during the late '80s and early '90s, and I've always been amazed at how she had continuously reinvented herself. But I feel that she has seen better days and probably should rest her groove-shaking already. She's an icon already. Let others step into her shoes. Lady Gaga is more than able to do it :)

It went straight to YouTube already huh? Those guys are fast. I never really was a fan of Madonna's, even so she was good at what she did but you're right, it's time to fade away graciously.
