Is it alright to discuss internet opportunities here?

I think it is not allowed to post the advertisement links on discussion posts here on myLot. So I had an idea, why not upload the ads in the profile page? But is it alright to start a discussion about internet opportunities and invite people to visit the profile page? I hope that is not infringement of rules???
