Hitting Rock Bottom

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you didn't have anything left in life?
Think about the highest point in your life where you had all the success anyone could dream of and then compare it with a situation where you had nothing.
If you've reached that point in your life, there are 2 options you can take. Live or die.
If you choose to die... you will, eventually.
If you choose to live, well there's good news for you... since you're at the bottom, things can only go up. :D

You are so right. When you are at the bottom, there's no more room for you, no more way than to go up. I have found myself in such a situation before and that was when I was starting to earn early on my day job. My salary back then was just enough for me, but since I had a brother still in college and had to go take up some reviews and exams, I had to pitch in to his school expenses, since our parents had already, almost exhausted our funds for our college schooling. We are not well off, but then, even though I might have struggled for quite a few months back then, I've got to say that I was able to get through it and soon, got happy and felt blessed after wards. Back then, I felt like I had no one to turn to. It was a difficult time on my part especially since I had some relationship troubles as well, and I haven't seen my good old trusted friends at that time. So I only depended on myself, moral support from the family, and lots of prayers to God. I may not still be in the position that I want to be yet, but I know that in time, I'll get there.

Yep, there is now where to go but up!
I think this one can be countered by being optimistic and having a positive outlook in life. Having a set goal to focus on can also help eliminate the thinking of having nothing. As long as you live, there is something that can be done. It is always a matter of changing ones attitude and mind set to combat all the hurdles of life. Think that every struggle is something that can help you out in the long run. I have been trying to practice that principle. I can say I make it often times but not all the time. But still, being positive works.

I've hit rock bottom a few times. It happens to people, but what happens when you fall? You get back up.

i did, emotionally and at some point (for a while) it affected my financial situation. It happened for quite sometime not long ago. It was about a relationship we tried to establish but all went south.
I cried most of the time. I feel sad all the time. I lost my confidence. I cant sleep well. I felt low and crashed. My heart was shattered. I carried/felt these before and after i wake up.
But i never stop praying. I get up after i spent hours and hours of crying. I try to answer all my unanswered questions and hoped that in due time, it will all be clear.
Thank God, am good now. To die is not an option when it comes to that situation hehehe..

I hit rock bottom many years ago and somehow God showed me the way out of it and I haven't been back to that place in my life. Thank God for all HIS blessings daily! Your right things can only go up after you have hit rock bottom! When I feel like I need help I pray about it and it seems like God just opens up another door. You know when one door closes another door always opens up!

i can't agree more with your last statement... even if you have hit rock bottom, as long as you still have hope, that is what will keep you going... and the hope is things will get better from that point onwards because you can't go any lower... also, there is a chinese saying that says tomorrow will be a better day and i always believe in that... take care and have a nice day...

I have hit this point several times in my life. I had even gotten to the point of writing letters to my loved ones and thinking what time would be best to end it all. I chose to live. I have severe depression and even when I get to my very lowest I realize i could never end my life. I couldn't do that to my family. With the help of good counselors and friends I am able to come back up from the black hole.

I dont think i have hit rock bottom yet. I might be disappointed at my self for not having a great credit score and trying to buy a house but i dont think its rock bottom. I can only hope for the best and for my credit score to go up now for me. I am trying my best to pay bills on time or earlier then they are due to even make the credit score higher and hope for things to turn out good for the house searching in a few months. I really need to work at it and bring things to standards with my life.

I haven't been in a situation where I didn't have anything to live for and I can't thank God enough for that and I pray that it continues like this. However, I don't think that ending your life is the way to get out of any situation no matter how bad it is. You have to live and you can do a lot to get out of any situation. We should not give up hope at any time in our life and believe in ourselves. We can rectify the situation...
