Arshavin had returned to his former club, Zenith St Petersburg, on loan. The russian form had dipped for the past 18 months and is in danger of missing out on the Euro 2012. Hopefully the loan spell will do Arshavin good and he can return to Arsenal full of confidence and his hunger for the game restored.

It was a shock to move this forward. Although only on loan this is a stupid, in the midst of a crisis to be the greatest Arsenal, they again wasted a shining star in the 2008 European Cup. And if Arshavin can not be lent role in andalakan only possible because of Arshavin at Arsenal too frustrating to play without a title he'd better look for excitement out there first.

i think his role has replaced by gervinnho now, but really he still has the quality like when his great pass to henry made a fantastic goal against sunderland a couple weeks ago. perhaps he want to maintain the performance to go to euro this year so he want to get more playing in the match regularly. happy mylotting

i think wenger did not want to release this player but he understand that Arshavin need for securing one position in russian national team in euro cup 2012 and arsenal can`t guarantee that Arshavin still play regularly..so its dillema for Wenger...

Arshavin is a good player. He played some brilliant football for Arsenal but he was sadly too inconsistent and therefore, could not command a regular place in Arsenal's starting eleven. I am sure that a loan spell in his native club will do him good to get back his form and to play in the Russian national team in Euro 2012.
