On this day, March 14th in history in 1984, Canadian Marc Garneau was the first Canadian astronaunt in outer space. He took part in three flights aboard NASA Space Shuttles. To read more about this facinating Canadian check out the websites:

I just though it was interesting that a Canadian got to go to outer space. I wonder what it's like to be weightless and see the earth from outer space. Do you ever wonder what it's like?? your thoughts, my lot, friends!

we Canadians have done a number of great things that often the US like to take credit for but it is times like these that make me proud to be Canadian.
have you ever seen the movie Apollo 13 with Tom Hanks? the moment when he is in the space capsule, quite near the moon looking back at the earth, that is what i would like to do.

I think it is great that people from different countries get to have that experience. I've seen what other people see; the earth as seen from space. Its beautiful to see what our planet looks like from space. That Apalo 13 movie is very realistic to me. It stars Tom Hanks.
