So that sucks

One of the shirts I got I just tried on. It was snug, but form fitting really. I pull my arms up after getting another shirt on on top of it (looser fitting) and BAM, the one under ripped. Well that stinks. Find the receipt and tell them I didn't notice it until I got it home.
Hopefully they'll take it back. Or I guess I could see if it can be fixed, or I could just use it for "home" clothes.
What would you do?

Well yeah, I guess it'd have ripped tehre and I'd feel bad. I mean I've never had that happen, so would not be sure what to do. it's been over 24 hours though already.

I found the receipt yesterday when I was at work purchasing something, so that is good. I will call them and see what they say.

I hope that they'll take it. The fabric is, silk on the sides, which is where it ripped.

That's why I NEVER buy something I can't try on and make movements with it on to see how it fits. But even then....I will try one one..it fits great...I got and get others of the same size/brand but different colors and not try the others on ..assuming that since one size 10 fits they all will...but NO!!! I get home, try them on before I toss them into the washer and the others don't fit the same! I bought jeans this way...tried on a pair, got the size the fit, got 4 more pair of that same size and at home...they are all to big!!! Now.. I have to try on everything before I buy. It is so annoying and time consuming..that is also why I hate clothes shopping!

Trying to take it back with the receipt isn't a bad idea. There is no guarantee that they will take it back, but it's worth a shot. Worse comes to worse, they won't take it back, and you can then try and see if someone can repair it for you.

That does really stink! I guess I would also try to return it. If not, and they don't accept it, you could wear it around the house or try to stitch it up and give it to someone who is that size and might wear something like that. You can always find use for clothes. I hope they take it back though!

Not sure, the place I shop for clothes now has a no return policy so I have to keep mine. I do list them on other sites from time to time, though. I will probably return it if it was expensive and just say it didn't fit me, unless the rip was very big then I'd feel too guilty about returning it.

I am thinking this store might have a no return policy, but I am not sure. I will call before I try to return it. It is a very big rip, and it is sort of my fault but I hate that it's like BS because it wasn't even snug, it was form fitting. The material I think on the sides are crappy. Not that it's the stores fault either.
