OK, yesterday someone wanted to befriend me on FB who already subscribed to my updates. I denied his friend request, cause i do not know who he is, but forgot to block him first, UGH. So, my question is, I know there is a way to turn off that subscribe button so everyone (even those not on your friend list) can't subscribe your updates, but does anyone know how to do that (turn if off that is)? I would like to turn mine off.

Uhm, well, I think you can't control what things that someone wants to see in their wall - means you can't control the subscription of another people. But you should be able to control who can see your post/photos/stuffs on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy

Ah, okay, I guess I was wrong. I found this: http://www.tipsglobe.com/2011/09/how-to-disable-facebook-subscribe-or.html Wow, after following that tutorial, I found that I even haven't activated the Subscribe feature, so that no one will be able to subscribe at me..

I just started this new FB acct cause I had some problems where most couldn't see my status updates on my list (I think I know why but not how to fix it) and never remembering activating it, myself. But low and behold it was there.

i am not sure you can do that. I think facebook doesnt provide the service. However, i could be wrong. Just try to look for it on search engine.

There is a way, I found it but then when it is done, it makes my own wall not visible to me. I don't think it's a good idea, so I turned it back on. I'd like to see what goes on my wall.

This is an interesting question. Personally I am always one that usually invites someone wanting to be my Friend, especially if it is someone Business related. But it can be annoying sometimes when someone you do not know sends you a message, especially if they are trying to hit on you. Plus it looks like it is not as easy to block unwanted people now as well.

I have had both a guy and a woman try to subscribe and one was from Nigeria. I had no problem blocking them both so it is pretty easy. I just have to be more aware of who tries it in the future. I did get a friends request from both of them first, too but as I didn't know them and just changed my acct it seemed suspicious to me.

I am not sure that I will be of much help but I think it could be under privacy settings. There is a part to limit visibility for past posts, and if nothing else that will atleast allow it where he can't see posts you made in the past, and you can from there (above where it says limit from past post) adjust it where he can't see any of what you post either way. I hope this helps.

I have seen that button for profiles mainly of girls and those who are popular in the film industry. I don't have that button active, so I have got no idea how to turn it off..
