As expected Bayern reached the semifinals in UCL. Both goals today were scored by the "forgotten" Olic and most of the match Bayern was dominating in the field making GK Steve Mandanda Marseille's mvp. And all that without key players like Schweinsteiger, Robben (who didn't play at all), Muller (who can in as a substitute) and Mario Gomez (who also came in as a substitute). So what do you think about the upcoming Bayern-Real matches? (I don't think that Apoel can win by 3 goals in Madrid) Who do you think has the upper hand?

When it is expected, it is no fun when it becomes real :) Now it seems that we will be seeing a Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich semi-final as Apoel is not expected to provide the biggest fun in Madrid. Who is expected to win the semi-final? Everyone will expect Real Madrid to. And the other semi-final should be between Chelsea and Barcelona. And Barcelona is expected to waltz into the final. But I feel differently. There will be no Spanish civil war in German soil. I predict a Bayern Munich vs Chelsea final.

Unfortunately you are right that's why (as I wrote above) I really enjoyed the Napoli v Chelsea matches. It had a good quality football but most of it it happened the unexpected several times which is what really makes a match enjoying. I like your prediction though. I hope it comes true ;)

You are right. Olic was a little unlucky being in the same club with an attacker like Gomez who scores a lot and he also had some injuries in the last two seasons which made him lose many matches. If he is healthy he can play as a starter in most of the other Bundesliga teams or he can be a good back-up for Gomez if he stays in Bayern.

Yes Newcastle might be a choice or even Everton too. But his main problem is that he is easily injured, funny thing that many of bayern's stars are easily injured :P, if he is healthy I think that he could find a could team to play for a couple of years.

I like Olic too. If he could not get enough playing time in Bayern Munich, personally I would rather he be going to play for another team, preferably the EPL. A good footballer should not be sitting on the bench. Just like Berbatov, he is one of my favorites in Manchester United, but this season he just could not be in Sir Alex's first 11 or even get to play at all. So I support his decision to leave. I hope Olic can join a team that will be challenging for honors. Newcastle, Spurs and Liverpool may be the right teams for him to join if he decides to go to EPL.

I think Bayern have the dreams of a final at the Allianz stadium. I think this was a relatively easy tie for them against Marseille. And Bayern brushed them off professionally to say the least. What was good to see is to see that fighter "Olic" get the goals.
Cheers!

i can say Good job for Munchen..
they knows that the semifinal will takes the energy and of course they must be smarter for saving the player which had a yellow card..it was so stupid if pushing play the player which had a yellow card and maybe in this game get again yellow card..
Jupp realize that the level of Madrid is really different with Marseille even i don`t say that Munchen underestimate Marseille..
so it was the dream semifinal i think
when we can see madrid versus Munchen in semifinal
and Barcelona versus chelsea in semifinal

Of course Real has nothing to do with Marseille's level. Marseille is just a good defending team while Real is a one of the top 4-5 teams (including Bayern too though ;)) in Europe. I'm not sure though about Chelsea reaching the semifinals cause 0-1 isn't an unreachable score for Benfica.

well di matteo said that 1-0 is not safe position for chelsea
but now chelsea had a good morale, so continue mr di matteo..
lets see what happen when benfica must come to stamford bridge and maybe hope that APOEL can make some little miracle for their fans

I see Mario Gomez is showing some good progress compare last season, now he become one of the good player which score more goals. We cannot simply forget others players which provide an opportunity for bayern munchen to score comfort and easy to reach to semifinal.
IT is impossible to beat Real which trained under one of the best coach and getting highest salary in the world. However i wish good luck for them.

Indeed, Mario Gomez is Bayern's most improved player since last year. About the semifinal I'd like to see Bayern qualifying though my main hope to see two interesting matches cause the only matches that I enjoyed so far in this year's UCL are the two matches between Napoli v Chelsea.
