Table decorations for spring.

I would love to see the flowers but it seems myLot is still having issues with photos. Also no email notifications are being sent. Your ideas are terrific so am sure they are a real clever project. Am really not into table decorating except for something simple such as placing an artificial basket of flowers on our dining room table.

I can't tell if the picture uploaded, because all picture, including all the avatars are missing, so I hope this glitch doesn't effect my uploading this picture. In case it does, what I am sharing is a picture of lilacs and a candle from my Seder table for Passover. Passover being a spring feast, I always have flowers on my table with my candles, but usually it is tulips, and I think back, I think G♥d orchestrated this centerpiece and here is why I say this. 1. My tulips were damaged during the hail storm, so I hoped my daffodils that were not damaged, would a be part of my table this year. 2. At the store, I happened to find these candle sticks on clearance and loved the color, and since my daffodils were white, I knew it would look good. 3. Passover start Friday evening, and I knew by looking at my daffodils, they were shriveling up fast, and wouldn't make it. 4. For some reason, the back yard and front yard lilac bushes did not bloom this year, which is why I didn't think of using them, plus it is early and yet I didn't consider our very mild winter. 5. It was my neighbor who said about her mom's lilac bush that had bloomed, so after seeing the front yard and back yard bushes not in bloom, (they are obviously easy to spot out the front and back door), I went to the side of the house where my third lilac bush was and not so easy to view from inside the house. Sure enough, there were many blooms and not only that, (this is where I really hope the picture turned out) the lilacs matched my candle sticks perfectly. So, not only do I love decorating my table, I am more thrilled when His hand is in on it and it was this year, I never would have put this together on my own. But with elimination, (the tulips and daffodils)and addition, (candlesticks I would not have considered this particular color), I feel this centerpiece was His doing.

I kind of like the little daily decorations better than full blown holiday decorations. I have some little flowers (marigolds and couple other small blooms) and put about 3-4 small vases full of them throughout the house...just adds a little color, a little bightness and a little fragrance to the whole house instead of a huge something-or-another in the living room or hanging from the ceiling. I like palcemats on the table and pictures of my kids around...and then swap them every now and then for other photos. I don't make full table decorations as you mention. I guess honestly, don't have that much in me! I love decorating, but just don't have that talent enough to do something very big!

I like decorating the house for holiday and such. Though I have not done so in several years as my kids do not have respect for their things, our things, or items I would place out to make our house look festive or like a "home".

I like to do that for our kids!! As my daughter is older now, she likes to create the decorations herself and she makes big deal out of it - hee hee. This year we've been trying to include holidays of "other" cultures (for the fun of it as well as it being educational). For Chinese New Year's, we made paper lanterns and strung them above the table - and we made our own fortune cookies for the table. I also folded these red and gold envelopes - not just for table decoration - but they contained money in it for the kids (another Chinese New Year's tradition). The other day was the Sri Lankan New Year and I meant to decorate the table for that as our neighbor had given us some Sri Lankan New Year treats - but we didn't get to it!

These are quite cute and very creative. I love the way they look, and would be perfect for so many things. Where did you find the pattern for the flowers? This would be something I think would be a Big hit around here as well.

our church does as well. one year they used tea cups as vases which was quite sweet.

The spring flowers in the UK are just amazing. Absolutely wonderful. Yes I do love pretty floral table decorations and even a few flowers in a small decoration can look so pretty. Yesterday and today was cold and rainy

That sounds very pretty. I like having nice decorations, but I am not at all as talented as you are in the crafting area. I might have to look up some ideas online and try my hand at it..lol. Take care.

i do love pretty flowers around the house, right now i am sitting for 2 vines /plants my mother left me when she moved.. i dont have any flowers on the table but i do have candles and the serenity prayer plack as decoration.. it looks nice and i hang wreaths on my door as well.. i need to start buying flowers more often , but money is tight at the moment..

Because of the fact that we have a small dining room and dining room table, I really don't worry about having a centerpiece or table decorations at my home. But, if it comes to something that is a craft, it is something that I enjoy doing because I've been making crafts of some form or another since I was a child. My family made it a three generation family event to do craft shows and I got really interested at that time.

My sons would just smile and shake their heads. My husband would wonder just how much time I had on my hands! When I used to take the bus to work several women would be working on their little projects while waiting for their stops. Without girls around to appreciate the work it's tough in this house to get any appreciation. My autistic son is an excellent abstract painter. One day I will simply have an easel with one of his paintings on it in the living room with no particular reason for it being there!

I really love flowers when ever it is decorated or it is still on the garden even pictures and paintings. I like decorating my room with flowers too I do have many pictures of flowers. In my door yard I have lots of different small flowers or even seasonal flowers. Maybe I can saw the picture if mylot is already okay.
