I was watching a show called 'Weird or What' with host William Shatner. Anyway, it was all about aliens. A man said he was taken from his bed at night by aliens and they did all kinds of experiments on him. There are hundreds of people , sometimes whole families that say they have been abducted by aliens. On the show, an phychritrist said it was something called 'sleep paralysis' where you wake but your body is frozen , you can't move and you see things or people around you that may look like aliens. Anyway, I don't really believe in aliens but my husband says there must be other life forms out there in outer space because how can we on earth be the only ones in the universe. Your thoughts, my lot, friends, Are we alone or are there other life forms in the universe?

Hi ecaron!
I also think that there are other life forms in other planets. Like Earth, other planets have soil and water where organisms can evolve and live. I believe life on earth began in water and so where there is water, there is life. If there are aliens living in their own water and soil, they probably have their own way of surviving if their environment is different from ours.
However, I am skeptical about alien abduction, about people being abducted by aliens and being experimented on by them. It just seem so far-fetched. Even if there is possibilities that there are smarter beings out there, smarter than man, I still think alien abduction is too wild of an idea.

I also think that it quite likely that there are aliens out there. But, as others have said, it is just too far for them to have been able to come here. The speed of light of appears to be a maximum that will never be surmounted. Even if worm holes or some other exotic theory eventually proves to be possible, it is highly unlikely that they would be useful for transmitting beings or large amounts of matter over great distances even if they could be made stable. The best that one might hope for is that information could be transmitted through a worm hole.

Maybe there are alien forms out there, and we just won't know where they inhabit. I don't intend to invade their living space, nor we don't want other alien forms to invade our planet Earth like in the movie. We just want to be living in peace, and exchange difficult culture and technologies if we can. That is what I expected to see from alien, and hopefully their civilization can be friendly and not aggressive.

i would like to believe that we are not alone too because of some unexplained things here on earth like the cropped circles and all that. but we can never doubt the abilities of human to create those too.
some scientist thinks there are some forms of life too in other countries but they still can't prove it. i hope that if it really is true, then i hope there won't be war or something hahah as seen on television.

Many people want to know exactly there are aliens or not. I guess they exists because our space is very large and we haven't known many where outside there. Hope that one day we can meet/contact with them and all can live at peace together...^^

I agree with your husband. The world is so big and there are still many things that are unknown to us. Whatever that you're describing is known as sleep paralysis. It is to prevent us from acting out whatever we're dreaming about. All we have to do is just relax our body or try changing the tempo of your breathing, and a message will be send to our brain to let it know that it is time to wake our body up. But yea, if you were to ask does aliens exist, I would say yes. Everything is possible in the world.

I have had that sleep paralysis, when I was awake but couldn't move anything. The first time was terrifying but once I knew what it was I just relaxed until my body caught us with my mind. I think we have certianly been visited in the past and if that was so then it just stands to reason that they could check up on us now and then. As to experiments done on unknowing humans, I guess what made me lean toward this belief was that fact that unknown implants were found in many of these
folks. Now that we think we may have found a way for things to go faster than light, this would mean that many places that just seemed to far away to bother with us may not be. Anything is possible in the future, I'm open minded.

I am skeptical about the abductions by aliens, I have to say that I don't really believe them. About the second part though I am in the believers side, I can't think that such huge places like universes and galaxies were created for just the human race. Maybe if we find a faster transportation device would give us the chance to search much further than we already did.
