Have you experienced your spouse going through extremes?

My husband just can not find a balance. And he wonders why I get so frustrated with him. For example when ever he does something he lets it consume all of his time. For awhile it may be work. Where all he wants to do is work or look for an added job on top of his job. Other times it can be other things. He just will not be balanced. For example now after he get off work he wants to go to the gym almost every day for two hours. So by the time he gets home and eats dinner it's pretty much time to go to bed. He doesn't help out at all with our daughter. Because after of all of his inability to juggle actual priorities it's late. And he wonders why I get so upset when I have to literally do everything work, clean, take care of our daughter, etc ,etc. And he is not willing to help with anything. He is proving to be more and more selfish as time goes by. As if he is not even married or have any type of responsibility. He acts like he's a single person with the ability to do anything with his time. He doesn't take into account me or our daughter. His whole day is doing things that he wants to do. He doesn't offer to take our daughter for a little bit so I can get something done. Or just start doing something around the house if she's being fussy. I'm getting so fed up with the whole routine. And when I say something about it he doesn't listen because he doesn't care. And when he's not working, or at the gym, he spends the whole evening playing his video game. Have you ever went through times like this?
