Most of the discussion I responded too are unresolved even it has so many comment, even mine I normally don't have too much time reviewing it all and give best responses to those who are worthy. I just thought all are worthy enough because they give there best shots in making their responds good. And I also thought they might not got interested to reply if they saw that the discussion is already solved.
What's on your mind mylotters?

and not only do we earn but our response could even clear up things better than the others.its not solving that matters so much as discussing as our discussions are open to all and responding
with your response might even provide some things that did need
touching upon. actually this is not a question and answer site but
a discussion
site and you can always keep on discussing something.

It makes no difference. You are going to get paid for your reply. You type you get paid, so it doesn't matter if it is resolved or not. It's really a waste of time to pick a best response, because after you pick one, there will always come someone with an even better response. I feel all responses are worth of being answered. They could leave off the br as far as I'm concerned because like I said.. there will be better responses after you pick one.

I don't ever resolve my discussions, I used to but not anymore. I find it takes up much more time and might cause the person not to want to respond if they feel it's been resolved, when really it is just recognizing a person.

I will always reply to discussions that interest me whether they are resolved or not. I don't use this website just to be able to get the best response, although it is of course always nice to see that people have thought that your discussion was the best response out of all of the ones that they had received from people. I am always happy to see things that I find interesting, so I don't normally even notice whether the author has chosen which discussion they think is the best or not. Just interest is enough to keep me posting on here.

If I have something to add..it doesn't matter to me if it is a resolved discussion or not..I still respond. I have run across some amazing discussions that were resolved but I just couldn't resist adding. I think that because we aren't supposed to duplicate discussions here that it makes it even more appropriate to add to those that have been resolved. I like responding older discussions sometimes too.

hello lyn,
Yes, I still reply to topic that are already resolved.
As long as the topic catches my attention and I do feel the urge to reply- I do.
So, it doesn't matter to me if the topic starter had chosen the best response or not.
Enjoy weekend

But recently I never encounter too much discussion with BR already.
What about the lunch date is it great?

I almost never check to see if they are resolved. If I want to answer I will. It is nice to get best response, but often lately I fail to go through and give them unless something is just incredibly outstanding.

Even though it is found that a best response for a particular discussion has been chosen, I would still prefer to respond to it if I have a liking for the topic. I do not carry the belief that a discussion loses interest once when a best response has been marked by the person who posted it.

If a topic is interesting then I will respond regardless of whether the BR has been chosen or not. I don't respond in the hope of receiving it but because I enjoythe topic and want to add something to it.
MyLot discussions, whether they are resolved or not, are not closed so to me it makes absolutly no difference at all.
Whether the topic starter comes and comments is secondary too, They may or may not be interested to read my response but only if they come back and comment will they be earning because I earn for my responses, not them

hi lynboobsy I do not pay any mind to the brs as if I wish to respond to it I will respond as I d o not mylot for getting br
but for sharing, caring, learning and earning not for best responses. if I am interested I do participate if not I go on by.Best Responses pays nobody the receiver or th giver. I therefore pay no attention to whether it has earned one or not as I am not mylotting to get or give best responses[e

Might be the discussion is solved to the writer but many discussions are interesting to others as well. Many of us can get into the same situation sooner or later. I think it's worth the time to read the replies, advices so others have profit of it too. I think it's a pity if you don't re-read your discussions and the new answers if your discussion seems to be solved. Fact is also that many of us fall back into the same "problem" again. You never know what great advice or help someone can give you in a later stage.

I have time reading them in my e-mails, that's why sometimes I don't choose the BR because I want everybody feel their are still welcome even my discussion is a week older. And yes your right I'm still want to have more ideas from the others.

Hello Lyn,
I never see if the discussion is resolved or not before responding to it.If i find it interesting i respond to it otherwise leave it and search for another one.For me the discussion should be an interesting one and nothing else.
It hardly matters for me i respond to the discussion where i feel i can contribute something and i think this is the best thing one must not skip the discussion if he/she sees it has been resolved.

Sometimes topic owners give a BR right after the first response! If nobody replied after that, there would be no discussion. Even though the discussion is solved, others can have a valuable opinion too. But I admit that if I see that a discussion is solved, I'm less likely to reply, unless I'm sure that I'm not repeating others' answers.

Of course i would.. Hardyy any difference in it.
Well to be frank i have not looked at the old disucssions so far and today i'm not active in myLot due to some offline work but certainly when i get time to look to those discussions i would reply(provided the topic is going to be interesting).I don't care if the BR's are already given are yet to be given or whatever.I write i get paid so Mylot is somewhere i can share my ideas and i don't matter if it's them who's going to read, that's always upto them!
However i get paid for what i write and i could also give my thoughts.Well, i will resolve my discussion after 4 days, because there would be none replying to it after that time. That's also because i would always get a best answer within that time period. The best answer according to me is the answer that is somewhat descriptive and also clarifies my doubt,or gives a view on it.(maybe it be agreeing or arguing).I think the more i see thse discussions in unresolved discussions tab, the more i don't like it.So i resolve it.(that's going to be me ater all!)
When you find all those responses to be EQUALLY GOOD, not one was 0.01% more good, then you could just leave it unresolved.Well, in my case i would reply if i have thoughts that are unique from others even if they are resolved. If it's going to be the same, i stop with commenting there.Again-that's me after all...
Hope i haven't killed your time (WINK)
