I keep getting mails with a headline like this and there is a link to click for confirming my account information. I know it is a scam, someone wants my info. I clicked on the link just to see where it would take me. A red sign came up "Reported Web Forgery!" and an explanation that if I enter info on this site, it may result in identity theft or other fraud. Well, I would not even dream of giving them info, but the site is already reported, so I don't need to look for a place in my Alertpay account where to find their email for reporting scams. I have also got this kind of emails about Paypal, but that was a long time ago. What you can do if you get emails of this kind: The best thing to do is to check if they use your name in the mail. If not, they obviously don't know your name. You can also open a new browser and log into your Alertpay account and see if everything looks normal. Never give your info - no matter how convincing they look. Has any of you, my friends got emails like this from Alertpay??

Thank you very much for such an information. At least now, we can watch out for sure should we get e-mails like this. It's a good thing also that I haven't received anything like this before and yeah, I think your solution is great.

Yes, we have to be aware of these frauds that try to get our info. It is better to delete the email without opening it and also take it away from the waist box. It is great that we learn to be cautious so that we don't get scammed.. Wish you a great day..

I would like to add another precaution to this discussion. Do notice that whenever one logs in into the the official payment processor, Chrome and Mozilla will indicate the level of one's security and privacy. One will see a green bar or a lock with a triangle beside the url of the site. It is important to remember this in every online transaction one does over the net. Without that means that the port used in going to that site is not certified or unsafe from people who wishes to spy on your transactions. Hope this helps even for a bit and Happy MyLotting!
