Could the universe just existed?

I think that there probably wasn’t a big bang that started the universe, it just existed all along. And the universe is a expanding never ending with galaxies developing every minute. Suppose there are no other human life forms but us. Then, again the universe may be teeming with life and our governments are hiding those facts from the general population.
Whatever way we and our universe came into existence through devine guidence or just by chance I think that our governments know far more than they are telling us about where we came from.

The first Book and first chapter of Genesis talk about the creation of the universe..
God made it all from the beginning until the end.
He is God who creates all,and He is the exist one and then He creates everything for His purpose.

So you two just see things one way in biblical terms ,no other way. I use to see things that way, but not now, because there are more than one way to understand things.
I want to know other ways we could have come into existence instead of just the tradition belief. After all they thought the world was flat but we know that they was wrong.

My own belief is that human beings can only create theories starting from their measurements and observation with very primitive tools as compared to the complexity of the Universe. As for governments, I don´t see a government as an all knowing father who will protect his child from learning the truth. Governments are no better that each one of us.

I don't see the governments of this world as all knowing but you must agree that they know more about whats going on in the world than most individuals. Even ancient civilizations with their primitive tools did amazing things with their primitive sciences that our mordern scientists still marvel at.
