Actually, I am not really sure, but I think SEO in article writing means you need to place the right amount of searchable keywords so it can be crawled by search engines. When I am doing research for some things or some topics, many MyLot discussions actually appear in the first few pages of Google. That actually means that Mylot discussions are crawled or indexed by search engines. Do you care to use SEO in your discussion or response? I wonder which of my discussions are searchable and appears in search engines easily? Does it affect the earnings if you have discussions that appears in the first page of Google search?

I wouldn't bother to do it. I believe it has nothing to do with my earnings :P One post will only affect the earning on the day it was created, so it shouldn't affect my earnings at all :p. Rather than applying Search Engine Optimization, I prefer to optimize Human Read Optimization, so fellow myLot members would easily understand what I tried to say.. :P (I hope so :p)

Great answer, it may or it may not affect and it is really good to think of Human Read Optimization cause I myself make a lot of typo errors here in myLot. I would try to make my post readable to humans and not just search engines.

Yeah, I think we shouldn't bother to make our post readable by search engine. We are discussing with human and not with machine, though

I am not sure if anyone apply anySEO in their discussion but I A sure I don't have that. Even I don't like to put tags. Not that hardworking..if I want to search for views and opinion about something then I think mylot could be the place and the search bar will be the great help!(^^)

I don't worry with it. I don't even put search words in there anymore.. I let my reader put what they want to... they are going to anyway.

Yeah, that is true, we should not think about those things, just do not skip the tags on the discussion and that is enough for discussions to appear in search engines.

haven't though of that, first why do you want to SEO a discussion it is not our job but the admin who maintain the whole website. If your intention was a reply by a fellow mylotters just post something interesting and for me top on that is all about money making ideas. If you own a blog or website doing SEO was so hard I almost had a sleepless months doing it and still not sure if it has results. The best thing you can help mylot and other mylotters find your discussions is to put a useful tags on each discussion. I always search here in mylot some discussions I need and all discussions that have a tags in it are showing in their own search engine.

Great answer, that is true it is really hard to tell if SEO really works. Useful and related tags really helps search engines or search bars so others can find your discussions.
