royal pain in the bum..

the middletons - Kate and Pippa Middleton

I’m sure the majority of us watched the Royal Wedding last year, and I am also sure the vast majority of us are aware that they celebrated their first year of marriage together recently too.. but The Duchess of Cambridge nee Kate Middleton, has really got on my nerves lately. I have read that she has pretty much “scolded” her sister for her behaviour of late.. which I find totally unacceptable. I know I’ll probably rattle a few cages with this, but I just don’t agree with it. Brandishing a gun in public is one thing, fair enough, I can understand her annoyance, but telling her sister which parties she can attend, what to wear, and who to hang around with and date is a disgrace. At the end of the day, Kate married a price, not Pippa.. why should Pippa change her entire life, entire social circle, and the way she wants to behave, to fit in with the public image her sister wants to portray? I just don’t agree with it at all. That’s the life Kate choose, why should Pippa have to? I just think it’s a disgrace. The Royal Family is too stuck up anyway in the first place, and would probably find themselves loved and appreciated more if they had a bit more humility and were a little more down to earth! Personally speaking I love seeing a picture of Harry drunk, or William striking a silly pose! Diana was human! Why can’t Kate be? I just don’t agree with it. Kate can keep up the porcelain doll image all she wants, and put on the airs and graces that she has been trained to.. but why should Pippa? A lot of people are saying Pippa should have more respect. Respect for what? That a prince happened to fall in love with her sister? So what? What does Pippa get out of it? Kate has already apparently told her to stop taking freebies and she’s only getting them because she’s related to her, so she isn’t even benefiting in the first place! What do you think of this?

I would sure hate to be in the spotlight alll the time. i feel sorry for them because they have to watch EVERYTHING they do because one doesnt know for sure how one would react to certain things one does. i think they(the royal family) should care a lot less of what the public will say and just live for themselves. life is too short to worry about little things like 'what the public will think if i do this..or that..' im no expert but i think kate was telling pippa this and that is because she's still the older sister. but i agree with u on the bossy-ing part. unless pippa is naieve which i dont think she is then kate needs to lay off or pippa is going to give her a peice of her mind and kate would not like it! maybe we could contact kate and tell her...

I don't really agree with Kate reprimanding Pippa for everything and make her live a whole entire life. But as well, Pippa could be a tad bit more in consideration of Kate's wishes... like, sister-wise. Such as I won't sing loudly when my brother's at home, as I know he hates it. I mean, still, it could be nice, as the royal family was a bit more quirky, but they are the representative of the country, and in principle, they are the leader of the whole country... and thinking about it, I wouldn't really feel comfortable if my country was led by someone who (or their family) was living a scandalous life or had a not so flawless company by themselves. But still, Kate's behaviour was overdone a bit... that's just my opinion.

Yeah I agree with you. Pippa should be able to live her life. I'm sure if she hasn't already made the decision to do what she wants she soon will. She will want to live her life not her sisters. Like you mentioned she isn't even benefiting. We all have individuals in our family who we would like to see do better but it's their life and they have to make the decisions. Kate married the Prince and she has to take care of herself and her own duties and not worry about her sister. She might be starting to get jealous of Pippa because she has the freedom and privacy that she no longer has!

No one has the right to tell another how to live their life whether royalty or not. Period. Having said that, I personally have no use for so called royalty myself. What is it that makes them any better than anyone else on this planet? Money? Pfffft. And it's not even money they've earned on their own, it's old money. Royalty doesn't impress me in the least. I'd take a good rags to riches story about someone who actually earned their money over royalty any day.
