Any ideas on how to turn paper into useful crafts are open in this topic. I wan to share mine.
I've remembered when I was a little kid; my aunt and mom making baskets for selling during Christmas season. They're putting goodies inside and wrapped translucent color plastics plus securing it with ribbons. The basket is made from old telephone directories or "yellow pages" that we have. Even newspapers can be also use as a replacement. For this one all you need is to roll them into small tubes and connect them one by one in ends and you have to do the same process in how to make baskets normally.
You can search for tutorials in youtube on how to make baskets. But not with the paper ones. They'll show you how to make a skeleton first before weaving it. Then from there you will have an idea.
Anyone there who wants to share more on how to make handicrafts using paper? You can let me know more or share your experiences in making it and how do you find it so far. You can also share your ideas how did you sell it to make money as well. Happy sharing of thoughts here in mylot!

I've never sold them, but you can make paper beads by cutting strips from magazines or catalogs (brightly colored pictures), rolling them on a needle or toothpick, then coating them with white glue. Take the toothpick or needle out and when they dry, string them into necklaces or whatever. They actually look very nice.
Quilling is also a paper art. You can find tutorials for it on the internet, but they make it seem harder than it really is. You don't need special paper or tools if you can come up with something that works. You can make beautiful things quilling.
Then there's papier mache, where you tear newspaper into strips and soak it, then I think they use glue in it but I'm not sure. Anyway, when it's soaked through and falls apart, squish it together into shapes or use objects to mold it around. I've seen some interesting results from this.
