Did you see the US news item where a Father and son in RI getting on a plane were stopped by TSA as their baggage search had turned up a (Disassembled!) handgun stashed in several of the boy's stuffed toys? (including Mickey!) No background was given, but there may be a custody issue between the Parents.. But doesn't everyone get that "Did You pack these Bags Yourself?" speech at the check in desk? Are there no consequences for saying "Yes" when he denied knowledge of the weapon later when it was found? He wasn't arrested, and they made their Flight,apparently.. What is your opinion of this?

This is exactly why I don't think that children should be exempt from the searches to board flights. People always get in such an uproar when the TSA agents pull a child out of line to pat them down A child might not be guilty themselves, but adults are never above taking advantage of or manipulating a child to do bad things.

Do a news search and take a look for any updates on this story to verify this..The USA Today site had a local TV news report video link on it that didn't give away any details beyond what I mentioned, even with a TSA Spokesperson in a phone in interview on the story..
