I know I might have started this discussion in the past but it it would take all day for me to go back and find it, but I have been looking on line and trying to think here is thee some kind of Mexican food I can make from ground beef? I mean I don't know what I can do with it and I want to try something new and so far the search on line I haven't found much. Does anyone know what I can do to make something like Mexican food with this ground meat?

If you grab some taco seasoning, you can make plenty of dishes, starting with tacos. You could also make some black beans, and rice and make burritos, or eat the ground meat with the black beans and rice.

No problem, I'm thinking about ordering burritos for dinner tonight. I love black beans with chicken.

I saw that there were lots of mexican recipes in that link. The ones with more stars are the best rated ones.

It depends very much on what you consider to be "authentic Mexican". In fact, there are so many different styles that it is often difficult to decide whether someone thinks that Mexican is like the way it is served in most "Mexican" restaurants (which is often very tempered and adjusted to the European/American palate) or whether they really mean Mexican! There's a good discussion here which might five you some clues: http://www.cheftalk.com/t/45421/what-is-authentic-mexican-ground-beef-seasoned-with As "boar_d_laze" points out, ground beef is not as common as cooked and pulled beef but it's not unknown, so you might try his recipe at the bottom.

"might five" = "might give" ... my approximate keyboard again! We have a very popular range of ingredients here called "Old El Paso". I am not convinced that a Mexican would give them a second glance, except for the tortillas and tacos, perhaps. I like to start with real ingredients - like whole dried/smoked pepper varieties which really are what they say they are. It is not easy to find chipotle here in the UK.
