a star (Claire Danes) falls on Earth and many(witches and princes) want to get her heart since eating it will give them youth and eternal life. But Tristan (Charlie Cox) wants to get the star, ot knowing it is a girl- to Victoria, her "true love" to prove his love to her. I really miss stories like these- fantasy, love and adventure.
Can anyone suggest movies similar to this?

I really love this movie too, I'm a big fantasy fan myself. The unicorn totally won me over too, I absolutely love unicorns and I love seeing them in movies. I can't really think of any movies that I think are really similar except for Princess Bride, which you've probably heard of. Maybe Legend, but Legend isn't that funny or lighthearted.

Yeah, but it was a great scene while it lasted.
I don't like the movie Ella Enchanted because I loved the book so much, and the movie is absolutely nothing like the book. I'm also hoping for more fantasy movies in the future!@allyoftherain (7208)

I agree, there are plenty of books to choose from too! I loved Ella Enchanted as a kid, and I still love it when I pick it up and read it again. The movie was okay in its own right, but it was just so different that I had trouble enjoying it.

If you haven't yet experienced "The Princess Bride" as a movie in this swashbuckling fairy tale type genre,I'd certainly recommend it...Maybe "Willow",too....

That isn't exactly the kind of story that Neil Gaiman normally writes and I think the book was better. I think some of the others gave you some good suggestions - tho Somewhere In Time might make you happy - not as much fantasy, but very sweet love story.

Somewhere in time, was that the movie starring Christopher Reeves, I read a synopsis of it once and it seems nice.. i can't find a copy of it though.
neil Gaiman has lots of books- i'd love to read all of them, and the Coraline movie was from his book too.

I like them too. There is Starman, Labyrinth, What Dreams May Come, Heaven Can Wait, Micheal, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Up, and The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao. All good ones. Different that eachother but enjoyable. Hope they like them. Let me know. I can send you more ideas if you like.

I have a DVD of this movie which given by a friend of mine. But unfortunately when I start playing it. NO DISC its says. I believe the DVD is not working properly or the disks is already defective. Gosh! I didn't know that the movie is exciting to watch. I might look for Stardust copy then.

Thank you for the other recommendations, the summary/plot is very interesting, i just love mythical stuff.
