French bread is too hard for me.
It is not my best choice when I have to buy a bread. When I have it,I will cut them into piece and put the pieces into milk, after them become softer, then I will take them. My mother cut it into pieces and bake it on the fire to make toast.

I would eat it with cheese and chocolate milk . I would put cheese and maybe some peanut butter also and sip some chocolate milk also .

I guess it's a matter of having used to it. At first I don't like it too because I thought it's too hard for my teeth, but later on did I found that if you want to enjoy this bread more, you have to reheat it in the microwave or oven. It will be more crunchy in this way. Also good for making garlic toast with butter.

Hi youless, you know people here including me love spicy chicken curry. And we are fond of dipping the slices of french bread in the tasty dish for a short while. It would become rather soft and of course it tastes pretty great as well together with the curry potato and chicken
My hubby has great teeth and he really enjoy eating hard french bread. He just bites the slice of bread directly followed by a spoon full or two of curry chicken
The bakery is quite near our place. Therefore it's convenient for us to get fresh french bread. We would get one whenever we have homemade chicken curry. Your style of eating this bread is great and seems quite delicious as well. I would like to try so when I have got the bread some days later...lol....

I pretty much prepare the French bread in the same fashion as you, youless. I prefer that it be eaten immediately out of the oven, when it's warm and soft. I am less likely to eat it if I don't do this.
