Importance of reading response/comment/discussion

hi gajagamini,
it is very very important to know what is the contents in the article before giving response or comment, so it is compulsory to read the article.so first i read the title if it is in my extent,then i will open it read it and them i will give response or comment on the article,when ever i post discussion also ,i will read their responses must,have a nice day

yes, it is important to read the discussion and responses/comments because it gives idea about the discussion, we should not read only title because it can be irrelevant to the core discussion. if we read the whole discussion we can come to know what we are going to contribute and is our points have been discussed earlier or not because if we mention same thing again no would be more interested in it.

Let's assume we are in a class room and the teacher wants questions asked each being on a new topic. It is only after you listen to other questions that have been asked that you will know not to repeat those questions. Same here. When students answer those questions obviously if the same answer is repeated what is its purpose and the same applies to comments. Repeating what is already there is pointless and will not be termed as quality participation here. myLot Admin is watching

yes, we should not repeat the discussions, comments, responses etc because we are here to share our own views and thoughts.
our discussion, response, comment etc should be different from others and we should not repeat them, no one would like to read same matter and responses on their discussion and we lose chance of positive marking and best response because of copying, we are contributing nothing to discussion if we copy others matter and responses.

Well I thought that you, having reached rank 100, these are things that ABC of Mylot, already knew them. However, maybe you should revise some of the FAQs and guidelines where everything is explained. Broadly speaking I can tell you that everything is finally targeted to make money. Or, come to pay: Start new discussions, responding to those already existing, comment on your comments perhaps related to a topic, etc.. Then if your question was enriched with photos, would you come paid better. No see of Mylot however, as a site of pure gain of money. Think about the fact that it is a worldwide community with over 200,000 members from around the world. Where the exchange of opinions is the main thing!

yes, I know this is very basic for the user like me who is having 100 rating but I want to get views from other Mylotters on this topic to get information and lesson from their experiences.
Guidelines and FAQs are always helpful to get the and solve the questions and queries we haev but I think discussing them make them memorable and that is why we cannot forget them easily.
yes, you are right Mylot is about money and we are here to make money, earn knowledge and share experiences. Mylot has around 2000,000 members who enjoy Mylot.

Hi,
I think if you also share the same opinion of other members then that also you have to explain with your own words. It is to avoid duplication of the content. Will you like it if there is a response and all are writing the same words??
I think there is no such rule for starting a discussion, agian to avoid duplicacy it is better to read/search the site and understand the procedure. Read FAQ for better understanding.

yes, you are right, we should always have our own thoughts and language to answer discussions because Mylot wants discussions not Copy and pasted matter.
Mylot is very strict about the duplication that is why we should check our response and comments before posting them and I think that is why we have option of preview in which we can see how our response or comment would be and we can make correction according to it.
we should read our response and comment before commenting to avoid spelling mistakes and bad punctuations because they can change whole meaning of the sentence.
Once I forget NO in the response and Mylotters were shock what I am saying and when I read my previous response/comment I realize what I have done and I need to explain them that was mistake and I did not mean it.
PS: Yes, I am @madhuriDixit1 fan and my username is inspired by her movie name "GajaGamini", I like it because it is very nice to say and hear.
