We here some people say that he or she is "charming" and that person has a lot of "charm". Anyway, how do you understand this word "charm" or "charming"? Do you know people who are like this, and how do you describe them?

Charm for me is the way you are able to make people like you, without having to exert an effort in doing so.
There are a lot of people indeed who have charm. They can easily make other people at ease just talking with them. Maybe kindness and the ability to make yourself clearly understood is what contributes to charm.

I agreed with your definition. I think it is also kinda like the X-factor. It is three but you really can't pinpoint it or define it in exact terms. Some people are very natural to use it while others need to 'perfect' it.

I also liked your definition of charm, SIMPLYD. Come to think of it, I think you have a charming smile :)
Anyway, concerning perfecting charm I think it is an inner work, building the character to be a loveable one and changing one's attitude and mindset to a more positive one. But I'm sure charm involves not only these but other factors as well, so maybe I could say it's a gift from God.

For me, when I hear people saying that they find the other charming, I think they're referring to as attractive. But when it comes to 'charm' I believe they're talking about the person's charisma now.

Yes, maybe charm and charisma came from similar root word...I don't know. But I do believe a charismatic person is also charming...both are loveable and likeable. Actually I don't know where the difference lies.

Yes, great descriptions that fits a charming person :)
You said charm is class, and I would agree that they are classy people because I can't imagine a person without class who could be charming. I guess if there would be a class to make people more charming or a 'charm university' would be a good idea.

I agree, so I stand with my idea that charm is like a 'gift'...not all people are good in sports, not all people are good singers, not all people are charming...
Yes, we can easily tell a charming person when we see one. I would say that their inner selves are exuded in their outer behaviors.

Yes, I would also say a good personality constitute to a charming personality.
Some words we can attach to charms might be loveable, easy to get along with, likeable, nice, lovely smile, happy face, friendly demeanor, understanding, and more. Oh, maybe we can say charming people are similar to saints, couldn't we?
