Do you like McDonald's Float without ice?

For those who are not quite familiar with floats; it's like the usual Mocha Frapped in Starbucks but instead of coffee it is Coke and instead of whipped cream as the drink's toppings; it is a vanilla ice cream. One crew or another always ask me that not putting ice will make the Ice cream of the drink sink. Technically, that's the essence of the drink being called as "Float". I always insisted to the crew that will serve for an "ice-less" float. I find it bland as the ice melts along with the ice cream on the top of soda. even that I end up my serving as half way bottom; I still find it enjoyable. Some also find it this way; let me know if you're one with them. Happy mylotting!

Tried McFloat without ice, didn't like it. Coke instantly mixed in my vanilla ice cream. It tasted like a coke smoothie.

That's exactly how I want my float, like a smoothie :DDD Might as well mix the two things in one cup then put it in a chiller... without the ice. HAHAHA :D Happy mylotting more about your thoughts and hope to hear more from you :D

Hey I love the Coke Floats, they are my favorite. And I do agree that the ice in it makes the taste a bit bland near the end of it. But I have never had it without ice. I think the best solution is to make it ice-less, but very cold. As in use Coke in its most chilled form. Wouldn't that work? Or are you against anything chilled? Because then my suggestion won't help in the least.

I've heard the logic behind putting the ice on the cola concept. There are two things (and these are based on manager's point of views; my friends are also working at McDonald's, too)It could make the ice cream "floats" as you put in in the cola or make the soda appears to be more when you put it on cup (profiteering, LOL). When I asked for no-ice floats, the crew would constantly reminding me too about those two things: The float will "sink" **and I nods to confirm it** and the coke will appear less or half the amount **and nods again, what the heck... I prefer it better than ice, what's the big deal being a customer requesting for it?** LOLZ, Sharing the purchasing power at McDonald's and one more thing I love at McDonald's is their french fries. LOL

They've called it McDonald's Float or McFloat due to the beverage's concept, they make the ice cream float on soda drink as it fizzes. LOL :D Can you tell me more about Tim Hortons? Seems like a great drink for me as it sounds. And how about Ice caps? :D Thanks and happy mylotting it more about drinks ^__^-)
