When your child started hitting and biting what did you do?

As children grow from infants they usually try to test their limits in many regards. When your child started to hit or bite others what actions did you take to correct him or her? I think that it's important to correct those things early otherwise they will do it more often and for a longer period of time. And as parents we don't want our children biting and hitting anyone.

Allowing or not preventing a child from biting someone is unacceptable behaviour..Children need to be disciplined to learn this. I read of a guy in a large mart chain store who was bitten by a child,and the mother did nothing to prevent it or apologise...
Rather than get angry at the child or the mother,he told her in front of everyone he'd recently had a HIV test...
And walked off leaving her distraught...
Whether this was a true story or not,would a parent want to face that situation?

Biting and hitting are both unappropriate behaviors. There are several things you will want to chose from to make sure your child learns this isn't right. Here is an article that explains all this:
