Reiki healing

As it was too hot, my son said we move to Puri , where we stay in a good hotel and from there we will travel by air-conditioned coach in a train, if tickets are not available we buy ‘Tatkal’ (instant) ticket, thought it costs high.
So we went Puri, stayed in a good hotel near sea beach; there on the dining table I met a girl from Iran, she said she is a Reiki healer, will help me; she came to our room, made me sit before her, asked me to look into her eyes; next she made gestures moving her hand; told me she was transferring positive energy, I should concentrate and receive it.
Well I tried, but could not concentrate my mind; I admit I can’t , my thoughts fly like horses; lastly she said; laugh loud, I did; she said I need several such seasons; I said sorry madam I am leaving the next day.

Does this work?
Can you concentrate your mind?

I am a second degree Reiki channel which allows me to do distant Reiki. I am a true believer of this therapy and has helped me in many ways. We are taught symbols which one needs to use before starting on the therapy.

What is best for you is to search online for a Reiki Healer in your vicinity. You could also do a course yourself.

Hullo Professor! The reports I heard about a Reiki therapist were not too encouraging but this was on hearsay from my sister-in-law's personal experience. allknowing is a mylot user and one of my good friends and I have heard her say that she believes in this therapy. So, she may throw some better light on this.

Reiki does not make you immortal.Reiki may not give you what you want as it may think it is not in your interest no matter how much you wish for it but with time you will never more want it any more which gives you the peace that you would not have got if you had that unfulfilled desire. It indicates a cut off time for anything in your life to move on.

In 2008 and 2009 I had some Reiki sessions and they made me feel fantastic. My mind felt very calm when I was having the Reiki and I felt warmest on the part of my body being treated. It was like an amazing power through my body. The energy that happened was amazing. It was positive energy and it felt magical. You found it hard to keep your mind still and you found your thoughts racing.

I heard quite lots of good revues about this healing practice. I also have a good friend that is a practitioner and said it's helping people. However, as any other thing, you have to believe it's good for you, and also take it few times, as a one time session, never brought up results.

I have been attuned to Reiki levels I, II, and Master, and in a sense I would say, yes, it works; however, whether or not the power is actual universal energy or a hypnotic placebo, I don't know. It seems to work for some, and I have had great success concentrating my mind. In Reiki, though, you are not supposed to concentrate, you are only supposed to sit, or lay down, or whatever it is they have you do when they give you a session. Reiki practitioners do not necessarily need to concentrate either, only allow the energy to channel through their hands -it does what it is supposed to from there. You cannot force it, you only channel it. The hand signs are supposed to amplify, but some Reiki masters do not use them. It is actually a newer practice from what I've learned. Master Usui's Reiki was more simplified, but he is the first in the lineage of modern day, so-called Reiki.

I have read some articles on Reiki healing.What I came to know from them is that the patient does not need to concentrate.It is the reiki healer who concentrates on the patient who may be living in a distant place from the healer.The reiki healer tries to transfer the healing energy from his or her own place and the patient gets rid of his problem.I don't know if reiki healing is effective.

it seems am never good at concentration. so i guess this thing will never work on me.
but i guess there are some really talented people who can send positive energy into you hence, we never know how nice it would feel to be able to receive such.

Hi Professor, hope you are doing well, and finished your pleasant journey now. .
I have heard about this treatment and also its basic as like sending positive energy to the other. But never tried it either learned it. May be it will be true and we can find it when we either learn or experience it.
