My son and husband love dubstep. Personally, I don't get it lol To me dubstep sounds like techno which just drives a hole through my head. After about 5 minutes I want to claw my ear drums out.If I listen to techno for too long I end up with a headache. Dubstep isn't quite as bad, but I can not stand listening to it constantly like my son does. Maybe I'm just getting old.

My son told me about dubstep a few months ago and I found some of my music that was turned into dubstep..It's okay, I mean as long as it is the music I like, I can deal with it..:)

That's funny. I prefer music with words and that is where one of my disconnects with dubstep is found. Also, I find it hard to call someone who mixes various samples on a laptop a musician.

My boyfriend likes dubstep and at first I just didn't understand. I hated the way it sounded and I still kind of do. But I have to admit, there are some songs that I actually like. The dubstep that I like is when producers take a song that has already been made and then mix it with a dubstep beat. I can't stand listening to music with no lyrics (unless it's classical) so a dubstep song has to have some sort of vocals from a song that's actually good. I'm not a huge fan of dubstep, but my boyfriend has shown me a few songs that I can actually tolerate lol

What kind of dubstep do you listen to? My son is a huge Skrillex fan.
