About three months ago, two people came to my door soliciting for amnesty international. My son said we should donate for as long as we could. This was even before we knew we would be moving.
I agreed to have them take 10 a month out of my bank account. I received, one newsletter from them in French, I called up and told them to send me all correspondence in English.
I haven't heard from them since. They never took a single payment out of my bank account.
Any thoughts?

I am part of AI and the group is into helping people who meet injustice.. it is in the Philippines, it is in India.. the AI is funded i believe..

That is very strange indeed. Many charities usually harrass you especially if you donate money. My grandma always donates half her money its ridiculous. I would just keep your eye on your bank account. I personally don't trust charities and they are always out to scam.

no they are not always out to scam, amnesty is one of the most respected out there but there are many good charities.
