Would you want to be lucky all throughout your life? or Would you want to be successful after years? Pick one. and Why? In your opinion, does it mean the same? Or they just complement with each other. Thanks

I would rather be lucky. Luck brings success without the effort.

I see your point Philly. Lucky over being successful. Why didn't you choose the former? Just curious. Thanks a lot

Ive worked hard for a lot of my successes, and I've observed people achieve the same thing through luck. They looked just as happy as I was. It really comes down to if you can appreciate success without the work put into it, and I believe I can.

That makes sense Philly. Some people want to achieve things in easier ways. Why exert too much effort in achieving while there is a close-to-effortless way. I hope I see your point that way. Thanks

If I have to pick one among your choices then I will definitely pick Successful because in order to be successful means u definetly have luck , but having luck does not gaurantee you success. If you are not successful in your life then what's the point of having luck. So I think being successful is more important to me than being lucky in order to be happy in my life.

Good point aKash009. Nothing is better than being successful per se. Thanks

I don't really think that you can choose just one of these, because the very fact that you are successful means that you must have had some kind of luck during the course of your life so far. I think that if there was a way that you could separate the two, I would have to choose to be successful over a longer period of time as that means that you would have worked for the good things that happened to you, and that is no bad thing in the modern world. I would rather earn my life than just have it given to me because I had been lucky.

If I had to pick ONE, then I'd have to say be lucky all throughout life. Why? Although I am not one to believe in "luck", to be lucky all throughout life must mean you most likely are successful throughout life. To be successful after so many years sounds like there must be much hardship before reaching success . . . so what happens when you finally reach success - but by then you're 95 years old? I am more apt to say "luck" is a notion - whereas "success" is a marker in one's life.

I think they complement with each other. Success means having luck too, and luck means getting to where you want, in some cases. I don't believe that success can appear without luck, but, on the other hand, having a lot of luck does not imply success.

I've never connected with the word... lucky. I think successful is a word that fits nicely into my vocabulary but the word I really like is... BLESSED. I enjoy knowing that God has a hand in my life and that I'm blessed in every way.
