have u ever gottten an email to work in another state? my husband did and he greatly considering it. he's a med tech, biologists or whatever and we have a friend who lives in hawaii he told us there is a position opened for med techs. its really great because they will pay us to move there and our plane ticket and our house. and they will pay him 3 times more than he gets paid here! it'll be for 13 weeks. 13 wks of vacation?! i told him to give it a try and i would be willing to do whatever it takes to go. that means getting visa or passports approved getting storage for all our stuff becasue we can't take everything we have. it'll cost a lot more than what im willing to pay for. im just excited but i dont want to get too excited...dont wanna count my chickens before they hatch cross ur finger so this man can say yes to the-job, not dress!

Hello verolop29 I hope that you and your family have fun in Hawaii. Our family lived there when I was a child. I didn't realize that you didn't live in the USA. I don't know how I was thinking that.

Then why do you need Visas or Passports? Hawaii is a State. It has been a State since 1959.

I hope that you and your husband will be able to move to Hawaii. It would be an excellent place to live, work and relax. Yes three months of being in a tropical vacation spot will be very special and enjoyable. I worked in Finland as a children's nanny at age eighteen and really loved that experience. It was rewarding to teach the little girl English. I got a working holiday visa for Australia. I found it was interesting to work in Australia. I did more children's nanny work, charity collecting and factory packing. I loved working overseas away from my home country. Good luck with moving to Hawaii. I went there when I was twenty years old on my trip around the world and had a fantastic time.

It sounds like a neat opportunity. I don't know that I'd want to move on a temporary basis especially if you have small kids. Why such a short amount of time? And I'm sure your realize the pay is more because the cost of living in Hawaii is so much more than it is on the continental USA

yea i know. that is the downside to moving there and i think i can do it! it could be longer-our stay there could be longer. when the contract ends (after 13 weeks) he can choose to renew or go back. it depends what he wants to do

Your profile says you are in the US so you wouldn't need a passport or visa to go to Hawaii as its a state. Hawaii is a great place, what island would he be working on? It sounds like a great and unique experience for you guys, would you work there as well or be a stay at home wife? Good luck with everything and hope it goes smooth for you!
