Lost keys

OK so this morning my grandmother was thinking of going to her caravan. She has 2 sets of keys. She keeps one set in a handbag and the other in another bag. Both those sets of keys are now gone. She insists she did not take them out and morve them. Neither did I and neither did my mother. There would have been no reason whatsoever to take the keys out of the bags so it's quite puzzling. I can't really say that my grandmother didn't take the keys out or didn't leave them somewhere but she insists she didn't.
So my mum as per usual just blames it on the faeries. She just keeps saying oh the faeries took them. I don't know how to ask them where the keys are! She blames every lost item on them. I guess it's better than blaming themselves eh? :D
Where have you guys found lost keys? Do you think faeries took them? Where should we start looking? :D

I'm going to start blaming everything I lose on the faeries, too! Sounds better than me admitting that I lost them.
I'm trying to think of places where I've found my lost keys. Normally, when I've misplaced them, I find them somewhere "between here and there". I backtrack, retracing my steps and usually find them. Once, I had locked them inside my car. THAT was fun!
Maybe, when your grandmother's keys are found, it would be a good idea if you or your mother held on to a set, just in case. I've given my son a set of my keys so, in case I lose mine again (or lock them in my car) I can get him to help me out.

Haha I know my mother is like that, can't blame herself for losing anything it's always those darn faeries :D
I backtrack too but it's hard because it wasn't me. I don't often lose anything because I know the typical places I put things and I think about the last time I used something :)
I haven't checked the fridge and freezer yet though it's amazing what you find in there HAHA!
Thanks for the assistance and advice. I think she should leave a set here and let us know the spot so they don't get lost. Need a faery barrier so they don't steal them :D
