I like to try out news shows; however, am always upset that the networks don't give very much time for people to watch the show. One new show I will be watching is Perception starring Eric Mccormack, who was on Will and Grace years ago. Its going to be on Monday at 10:00pm on TNT in the United States. Anyone plan to watch?
Have you been watching The Newsroom its a well done show from the creator of The West Wing on HBO. I was glad to see Sam Waterston on television again. He was great on Law and Order and I really missed hearing his voice.

I have been watching Bones, on net-flick. I think its a really good show, its so interesting.

The show Elementary coming to CBS this fall looks interesting to me; it stars Lucy Liu as Watson. It looks to be an updated and Americanized version of Sherlock Holmes. Made in Jersey about a female lawyer is also coming to CBS this Fall and it looks like it might be funny. I don't get any of the cable channels like TNT or HBO so the new shows coming there won't be available to me.

I do plan to watch Elementary this fall. Lucy Liu was so great on Southland and I'm glad she will be on television this fall. Thanks for posting.

I don't have HBO, and as much as I enjoyed Sorkin's Sports Night way back when, I heard The Newsroom was kind of preachy, and I don't want anything stuffed down my throat. Great cast though. I already have my DVR set to watch Perception. I've also caught the first couple episodes of Bunheads which airs on Monday nights on ABC Family. It's from the creator of Gilmore Girls and has that charming quirky feel to it.

I should check out Bunheads just don't like the title, so haven't watched it. Sports Night was done well just didn't have enough viewers for a network show. HBO can get away with lower numbers of viewers, since the viewers pay a lot for cable television like me.
Perception looks like it should do well, but we will see soon. Thanks for posting.

Hope you do check it out, as I'm looking to find a few people that would like to discuss the show once it airs. Thanks for the reply. I do agree that The Big Bang Theory is a funny show, as have watched some of the episodes.

I watched the first episode, and I just wasn't hooked on The Newsroom. I couldn't even get myself to go back for a second episode. I was really disappointed, because I had been a huge fan of The West Wing.
With the major networks, I don't try out too many new shows, because the networks have developed a bad tendency to not give new shows a fair chance to establish an audience before they decide to give the show the axe.

Sorry to hear you didn't like it. I'll admit its not for everyone and I'm glad the network believes in the show. The major networks your talking about really don't give new shows a lot of time to find an audience so we end up getting mad when the show is canceled for low ratings. Thanks for posting.

Yes, I did watch the Newsroom and I liked it! It has high ratings already and this is the main reason that I started watching it. I have also started with the "Suits". It is a series with lawyers that work in a big firm and they have new interesting stories in every epeisode.

I love Suits its really clever and entertaining. The story line is great and I look forward to the show each week. Newsroom renewed after 2 episodes was excellent news. Thanks for posting.
