Not to compare or anything but well, let's face it, Haagen Dazs, Baskin Robbins, Breyers, Dippin Dots, Dairy Queen and many others are a bit pricey and not every one can afford them. Not to mention, not everyone is willing to spend that much for an ice cream. Maybe a little splurge once in a while will do. But, still, the frugal group will choose the better option that won't hurt their pockets.
With the Koreans multiplying their numbers here in the country lately, there have been products from their country they brought with them here, as well. One of those are their famous ice creams.
In the local groceries, they started marketing Melonas which cost less than 50 PhP each. There are also premium ice creams at around 50 to 65 PhP. I can't name them since they're written in Korean characters. Sorry. hehe Oh, there's this one called Cookie-O. Looks very delicious! Among everyone's favorites are: Cled'Or, the Chocolate Chiffon one and the the fish-shaped one. I had tried most of them but NEVER the Magnum! hahaha
I had also tried the one from Malaysia called, Cookie Monster a few years back. I bought it from the mall somewhere in Fairview. But, I had never seen anywhere else since. There are really good products that aren't really pricey. But, I guess, everyone's most favorite is the one peddled in the street, which many call, the "dirty ice cream". It's featured in the popular program, "The Bizarre Food".
Am not sure if these are available in other countries, by the way.

Where I live there are little carts and trucks that go around selling icecream to all the kids. They are pretty cheap and you can usually get one or two for under a buck depends on what kind you want to buy. The better the quality the more its going to cost. We usually get a strawberry short cake bar and omg they are so good makes my mouth water just thinking about it. I also love that we can get 2 of them for a dollar. Thats even cheaper than a candy bar now a days.

Sounds like you're really endorsing those yummy ice creams. Am very convinced you know. Are those ice creams from the popular brands or no? I wish I can make my own ice cream. Home made ones. I remember, my dad told me a few times they used to sell home made ice creams as his mom knew how to make her own specialty. :)

Not sure if they are of a brand or not we just eat them lol. As for making your own you can and its pretty easy to do I will post a few links so that you can see how to make your own ice cream. You can even make low fat ones not that I know about those as I believe with ice cream the more fatty the better lol.

There are tons that you can make at home and some of them dont even need an icecream maker to do it. I have made some before using my freezer but I had to stir it alot to make it creamy and yummy. I recently bought a nice cheap ice cream maker and we have created our own flavors from scratch we just think what would be good and make it.

Nice one! You make your own ice cream, huh? So, what's your best flavor? I'll probably skip learning it. I have no passion for it as I am not really into ice creams. Only during summers when I can't take the heat. hehe

WEll Magnum has been the talk-of the town. People suddenly went crazy over this stuff.
It is oftentimes sold out so even if you want to have a taste chances are stocks have run out before you get one for yourself. I've tried the Classic but have yet to try the Chocolate Truffle and Almond. Well for sure I'd be able to have a taste of those one of these days. I am just busy and can't spend time searching the grocery stores around.

Here in the states I have not seen or heard of these types
of ice cream..However, we do have store brands of ice creams
thats very good and tasteful and they are not as costly as
some of the name brands,,,But they do have sales very often
here on the name brands where they are certainly affordable...
