Last night (April 10, 2012) is a sad night for the Filipinos when one of the biggest showbiz icon passed away. The Philippines' Comedy King Rudolfo "Dolphy" Quizon, Sr. died at the age of 83 due to multiple organ failure while suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The news didn't really come as a surprise because he's already been in the ICU for a month and I'm more relieved that he's no longer suffering. But still, he was an icon and Phil. television and movie will never be the same without him. I personally grew up watching him and he never failed to make people laugh. Even with his popularity he was down to earth and has that positive outlook in life. We will miss him. There's no one yet who can replace him. RIP Dolphy!

I read several articles about his life. Very sad that he was in the hospital a long time and he sure lived an amazing life fighting until the end to entertain others. He will be missed by many people.

Thats sad to hear that the comedy king had passed away. He really deserves to become a national artist but unfortunately its in the process and he didn't make it to get the award.
