All my work paid off

A year ago my Dentist warned me that my gums were failing and put me on a special tooth paste along with very strong instructions when ane how to brush and floss. Well it scared me enough that I have for a full year been very watchful of the care of my teeth. Great news it paid off and my gums are one to two points better in all areas. I know it was worth it, because I have just been through the loss of all of my daughter's teeth and I sure want to avoid that as long a possible. I am a believer for sure.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I have all my teeth. Once I started the heavy floride treatments and brushing twice a day, flossing once. It has taken abut 8 months.

It is encouraging to know that you have made improvements. I know that with my teeth, I try to tell my kids what my experiences were so they can avoid the same painful and expensive road. I do better now than I did thirty years ago.

I think I too am having the same problem. Am too scared to go to a dentist but I think now I cannot avoid it any more. Need an urgent visit and am scared of what the dentist will have to say after seeing my cavaties!

Well I have always gone to the Dentist every 6 months because I have a very dry mouth and it needs constant care. I still got into trouble by not brushing or flossing enough. I am doing better now.

Sounds like you have peridontal in your gums?

yes savypat it really pays to take care of your teeth and gums too. Now I have a lot of teeth that need care, fillings and caps put on but alas no money for it.I wish I had taken better care of my teeth earlier.

My daughter has done this and I have had to pay for the removal of all of her teeth. We went through a specail program for those who need dental care and have little or no funds. It was still expensive and of course very painful. Blessing to you hope you can find a program like this.

That is great news. I am happy for you. I do have to get to the dentist myself. I have wisdom tooth that is getting loose and every now and then it starts to hurt me. And it also swells up. I have not been to a dentist in a long while. So I know it is over due. I am hoping by the end of the month I will get there.

Hi savypat, I just wish that I'd taken care of my teeth when I was young. Now I have dentures on top and just a few of my own teeth on the bottom. I'm glad that it has paid off for you as nothing can compare to your own teeth. Blessings.
