New vow added

hi Kalyni that is horrible.Abortion is murder, murder of a child, a girl child usually,in the womb. I Think that must stop,,its murder, 'and murder is wrong.I feel if the dowry system is to blame it should be down away with.I feel this is inhumane and murder is dreadful , specially of an unborn baby.all life is precious in my eyes and all babies deserve to be born and cared for and loved. my opinion.

kalyani mam, good to hear about this new vow, really it is a great sin to kill a baby. Abortion must be banned in all the countries, i know about the child killing activities, but this culture is reduced a lot now

Hello ma, How is your health? Hope both of you are (sir) doing fine. It is really great to know that people are making some swear at the time of their marriage. (I didn’t know it as there is no such customs in our place). The added new one is really wonderful and its importance is really high when people are ready to kill female fetus. It is really shocking to know that, killing of female fetus still going on even though the officials are trying their best to prevent it. They are trying to educate people to the importance of girl child. I think they won only half way still. But I must admit, things changed tremendously once the girls started to get education and find out their own life income. So let us hope there will be more changes in future and everyone will love and protect the girls as precious. I felt the changes should be in the mind of people. The attitude should be changed towards the girls by some people.

kalyni madam: yes. the point raised by you is good. female foeticide will come down. This is on the one side and on the other side people spend borrowing money for the marriage of daughter and that is also bad. In families where there are two girls - they want a boy and try. if the next baby is also a girl they show more discourtesy to that child. same is true of families having two sons and the third also becomes a son. We should follow the vows taken so that we do not harm the society's balance.

that nice to hear that new vow has been made to stop girl killing in the womb ,its also an series issue as i come across a information that no doctor licence has been cancel which where caught doing all girl abortion ,it was a shocking news

Hey thanks a ton ma'm for this lovely post. Yeah female foeticide has heightened in India and with an 8th vow, this is surely going to end this mundane act.

There are so many people waiting to adopt a child. Al most in all the ashrams, the waiting list is big. If some one does not want to keep the child, let them inform the hospital so that the hospital will inform the Ashram. Let them give the happiness of having a child to some one in need and literally craving to have it. This way they can escape from the sin of killing the baby and also get punyam (good deed) of lighting a house with a baby crawling.

I consider myself to be very lucky that I live in a country in the world where female children are just as valued as male children. We also don't have any government imposed limits on how many children are allowed to be in a family. With that said, I personally don't believe in abortion for me because I love and value the children that I have and I mourn the two children that I was pregnant with in the past that I miscarried during the pregnancy. With that said, I couldn't begin to imagine the pain that I would go through knowing that I had taken the life of one of my children.

hello, I think this is a good addition, I can't understand why people kill helpless babies inside the womb , as for dowry, I do not understand that very much cause that has long been gone in Philippine culture except for some Filipino Chinese and far flung tribes who in a way still practice it .
