thankfully despite the high price we had to pay to buy this good laptop, at least i am satisfied. it is booting pretty fast enough. it is not that slow as other computers i had before. so when i need to chat in a hurry and had to open computer first. i just to wait about 3 minutes at the most. before with my previous computer i had to wait 10 minutes and sometimes more . that is why i hate closing or turning off my desktop when i know i would use it again later on. but with my laptop i can close it off anytime since i don't worry on the booting time when i needed to open it up again.

That is the great thing about computers nowadays, they have faster processors and obviously they are fast. Much has been improved this last few years as compared to before. But you should also be careful since viruses may harm your computer and make it slow or perhaps even damage them. Aside from that error in registries and scattered files will also cause a problem that is why you should tune it up and defragment from time to time.

yeah my other computer is not working. do you know where i can have it reparied cheaply. LOL. i downloaded one big file or online game. after that it won't boot anymore. because the file was too big for my hard disk i think.

Gosh I can sympathize. Before I upgraded my laptop I used to give my old one menacing glares with the hopes of making it boot faster. I even bought a 1 gig external harddrive so I almost have no files saved on its memory, and even uninstalled some programs. I do have the latest OS but I don't know what's really wrong. Just imagine the joy of having a computer function fast enough to do your work.

sometimes it is much better to buy the latest ones because upgrading is not a guarantee for it to run fast. it is better to have all things new. specially we have new specs of computer again lately. that are much faster than those who are already fast.

Oh, when I say I upgraded I bought a new one. And I handed down my old one to my sister. I do agree that it is cheaper to just buy a new laptop entirely because when we quoted to have our programs and OS upgraded to the latest version, it's like you just need to add a couple more thousand pesos to get a new one so...we just decided to buy the latest one.
The only thing is by next year they will release a newer model and what's new today will be obsolete next year haha. Oh well, as long as it's still doing a good job then we're going to be together longer lol!

Computers are really getting faster now. You would be surprised about some of the fastest. I never really experienced one yet but I have heard about them, some can boot in seconds, just amazing right? I would love to have one but the price is just too much, probably worth two or three good computer set already. Anyway, congratulations on your new laptop and hope you continue enjoying it.

Well, I'm using an old and very slow laptop now. I'm planning to buy a very good unit that's why I have to save up for it. I just hope I could buy one soon. Yours is good enough so it is good to be contented with it. No use buying a much expensive one just for doing basic things.

Yes, nowadays we have those so called ultranotebook which boots up extremely fast. They are able to boot up within a minute some even faster because they are using solid state memory instead of hard disk to store and boot up the OS. Yes 3 minutes does sound like a long time so it's better if you get a new laptop.

actually it just loads in a minute and even only 30 seconds sometimes. but sometimes it takes 3 minutes but it rarely happens.

computer opens quite quick enough depends upon ram, harddisk, processor, motherboard. If all of this having higher configuration and if you select the os which suits to those requirements your computer will automatically shows its speed and surprise you in every moment of your work.

i tried to shut it down. it takes 10 seconds to close or shut down. i turned it on again. it took one minute for the computer to boot completely. and another minute before the browser would load. so i guess it is 2 minute in all to get it to use after turning it on. quite fast enough for me.

It should not take that much time with latest processor and RAM, you can increase its performance in windows using some tweak tool that are available for free or at paid version or shareware. Some tips that i can mention is keep your desktop clean, remove unwanted icons from quicklauch bar and prevent unused application from running services automatically when you start up. Use disk defragmenter to optimaze booting and increase your system virtual memory to speed up execution of multiple application.
